One year after the auction....
Today, June 6th, marks the one year anniversary of the TGA auction.
You may have noticed that I have been completely silent on the forums since the auction and it seems (for those that haven't been following me on facebook) that I have fallen off the face of the earth.
Unfortunately to this very day, I am still dealing with issues related to the flood which have prevented me from bringing the proper closure
to this terrible event.
I am here today to tell you that my silence has not been by choice. For the past year, TGA has been involved in a legal battle (with TGA being the victim) that I am still in the process of trying to finalize. This legal battle has prevented me from talking publicly about the events that have transpired over the past twelve months. I cannot begin to express how frustrating and depressing it has been to be placed in a position where I cannot communicate with you, my friends, on our own website, during a time where we all, as a community, need that communication the most.
I'm still currently in a position where I cannot disclose the details concerning my silence but I do plan on making an official public statement, very soon. This statement will bring everyone up to speed on what has transpired behind the scenes over the past year since TGA closed.
Legal issues aside, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support on the day of the auction. The love and kindness you showed me was truly humbling and is something I will remember for the rest of my days.
Whether your support included bidding on items or a simple phone call or E-mail to say hello, I want you to know I appreciated it and it truly made a difference. It was your kindness and support that helped me get through that traumatic, horrible event. An event that I still have not emotionally recovered from, nor do I ever expect to.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the TGA community for patience during this ordeal, and especially for your love and support over the past seven years.
Not a day goes by where I don't pause and think of all the wonderful memories we shared together. I miss all of you terribly. I look forward
to the day where I can discuss this issue with all of you and better yet, see you in again in person.
Thank you for your friendship and support, it's truly an honor to be in your service.
Please, be good to each other and keep the community strong.
Respectfully, sincerely and truly yours,
Andrew E McGuire

Dreams can never die, and the memories of TGA that we all have will never be forgotten.
A lot can change in a year. My life has changed dramatically, whether it be my personal life, work life, or my Youtube popularity. So although TGA's run ended in tragedy, don't be surprised if things eventually turn around some day.
I have a funny feeling that we haven't seen the last of Tokyo Game Action.

Forgive my delay in response to this. I've been having severe stress/anxiety issues lately, so I've been trying to not think about this.
That aside, one of the things that does keep me going is remembering all of the good things this community has done, and that it's members continue to do.
Some of you may know that I have a collection of machines at my house, and I have an open door policy. Any of you are welcome, anytime, I just need a heads up that you're coming, and if you're coming long distance if you'll need to stay for the night.
To all you, I hope you've kept on playing or kept close to one another, and I hope to see you soon. I'm sorry I haven't been able to continue the meet ups due to poor health, but now that I'm recovering I'm hoping to resume them within a month or two.
Take care everyone, I miss all of you, especially Andy and Chie. I'm glad to see your updates on Facebook, and keep you in my thoughts hoping life finally pays up on it's karmic debt to you.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of TGA either. I miss all the fun games and the community that would play them. I miss that happy feeling that I would get just from walking through the doors. I enjoy the memories that I have of TGA, and I hope that the community continues to stay together.

I'm glad you're recovering. I hope to go to Warwick within the next month. I miss visiting you and all the people who would come down. I've always had a good time with you guys. The games are just a bonus.

I also have an open door policy similar to yours - however I am not as close to any of the previous customers of the store, and I don't have any music games. Also, Gradius IV is broken right now (but I do have other games I can stick in there, including Puzzle Fighter!)

Andy, I hope the legal battle ends well on your end. It's terrible after all you went through that things are still dragging out.
Keep your head up and know that we are all here for you and offer our support.
I hope I'm able to see you sometime later this year or the next
Take care,
-Paul

Andy and Chie, hopefully the legal battle ends soon with the two of you victorious. As always, if you ever need anything, just let us know.
