View Full Version : PS2 Mod . . . Am I worthy to mod ur PS2?

OK folks, a few of you may have seen me a TGA recently. Found out I can do magical electronics stuff! I.E. IIDX, Drum Mania repair and future upgrader to IIDX RED. Anyways some of you have asked me if I do PS2 mods, yes, yes I can. Then you ask if I am good, I really don't know that. Depends on what you see as good.

So I have a resolution! If you care and desire to actually see my work, post and I'll scan my own PS2 Main board for all of you to see and explain what I had to do and what tools I used. I'm not showing you off the bat cause I figure why post info that ppl may not care about, so I ask first.

ed, i've seen your mod...and although it works (yes it really does work)...i don't think the average person should be soldering around wires in their PS2...I got a perfectly good fliptop for like 30 bucks...and it only took 5 minutes to install (let me clarify...it took ED 5 minutes...i was playing stepmania at the time)

I just really hate swap discs . . . ._.

Swaps discs are annoying... especially when your PS2 doesn't always recognize them as PS2 discs :X

my PS2 is so screwed up.
i had to put off playing IIDX for a week to wait for a replacement eject/on/reset cable to arrive.
i ripped it when modding my ps2.
i need to get a flip top, a swapdisk, and maybe a new on/eject/reset button.

and pay my friend Alan $150 for a IIDX controller and IIDX 6th Style

Well if you haven't ordered the cable yet I can fix it. I have stuff to fix ripped in half ribbon cable. X3
