Konami just recently announced that in a addition to two shipments of 7th Style CS and a new batch of ASCs they are also going to make a new batch of normal controllers as well.

The price, after converting Yen to Dollars, is about $50! O_O Of course, we have to add markup and shipping on top of that, but still. Wow. Theres a non-sticky thread in Bemanistyle's IIDX forum about it.

Bahh.... *choke* I like the new price, but I wonder how long it would take before they ship at these prices. Ahhh... forget crappy ebay, it's always overpriced anyways. I will just wait till TGA get some onstock.

Yeah, but thats using last week's Yen->Dollars conversion and it doesn't take shipping or anyone's markup into consideration. But at least we can be certain the controllers will finally cost less than $120.

I already have two, so it doesn't matter really to me... wish I didn't pay $100 for each of them though.

Hmmm... I might have to consider getting into this game now now that the controllers are so cheap. I wanna see the really nice ASCs that just came out. Matt had some problem trying to get one, though through Konami's site.

You do realise that the MSRP of those controllers has always been around $50 when converted, right?

But that's only for the Japanese, who have the luxury of buying it there.

When internet sites buy them from Konami, mark them up so they can make a profit, add customs taxes, etc, they'll still be around $100 - $120 once they get to you. Sorry for the downer.

A little story on ASCs:

DON'T trust Himeya.

About a month and a half ago, I purchased a IIDX ASC from them. Three weeks after it was processed, I was wondering where the hell my ASC was. So I e-mailed them, and they told me they were out of stock - this was AFTER they already took my $500 - with claims that they would ship when they re-stock, which is the fucking year it takes Konami to release each batch.

Even if it costs an arm and a leg, your best bet is still Rinkya.com

TGA should get some in stock when they send out those new batches of Officals.

So I've heard. Apparently, he's getting the ASCs from JVG. I guess they sell them now.

Well, while I'm here, does anyone know the distance between the two controllers if you were to set them up for 14key play?

When do you think the controller's that are being sold are going to be in stock? I havent played beatmania but it seems some-what like Pop n' Music so I think that I would enjoy it. Also what kind of controller is it Disc-Jockey, Rave-Discman or the arcade style controller???

It'd be the official Konami controller. So none of those.

Uhh... I just bought a Rave-discman controller to start off because I havent played beatmania yet. I was able to get the controller and a beatmania game though for $48.00, not to bad for the price. Yah then I am prob gonna want to buy the IIDX controller for when I buy Beatmania 7th Style IIDX.
