If you're solely basing that off of Ultramix (Which was Konami of Hawaii, not KOA), then you've never played MAXUSA. Well, the oni courses sucked on MAX, but it had a damn good songlist.

i got the game today, it is awesome! (in my opinion) i think it has a really good set of songs and the mini games are fun too and so is the all new mission mode, it can get hard sometimes though but, its all good in the hood (hahahaha) i would rate this game a 4.5 out of 5 becuz the scoring in this game sucks really bad, i mean, you CANT miss or get an almost or get a good on ANY arrow or you will not get a AA, you have to get every arrow, example: if you get like 2 greats on a hard song and you get 1 good, you will only get an A, sucks huh?
well, yea, the game is great but the scoring sucks lol,

Tsk tsk... don't you want to support KOA so they will make an ARCADE mix?

These aren't anything new. The US home versions have always used the old 5th-Mix-and-before style of scoring, where you can only AA if you full combo. It's DDR with new songs and EyeToy support. No surprises...

Its just back to Konamix scoring, with freezes, and probably some tweaks on the actual score amount totals. Interface is cool, some good songs.
My big gripe: CAN'T TURN OFF THE BUTTONS!!!!! ARRRGGGHHH!!!!

Not true at all. MAX and MAX2 US had the AA = FC rule, but also allowed for the 93% DP rule.
And yea, there is no chance for a US arcade mix. Ever. Sorry

I haven't had any problem with the scoring. The stricter the better, if you ask me. But, the fact that I can only get an Extra Stage if I AA a song of 8+ is kinda lame. The songs are good though. I'm glad I can Play Only You any time I want now. And Mission Mode is a bit of a challenge for even the hardest DDR veteran. I'm glad I can do ONI AND Nonstop courses now too. I'ts better than MAX2, but still no MAX.

IMO, DDR timing and scoring is pretty sadistic as it is. See, it really doesn't help when you have a worn out metal pad that can't keep a combo for more than 300 steps.

Has anyone else played the "hands and feet" mode? I find it to be rather funny to play. I guess I get confused too easily. :p
