I think TGA will be hosting another fighting tournament, it's called "TOTAL BARNAGE"!!! Which is pretty much R.I.'s BIG fighting tournament. And yes i know, there probably arn't as many fighting gamers out in RI now, but i'm sure it'll be a good turn out.

I think the tournaments will have these games:

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike

Capcom vs. SNK 2

Guilty Gear XX #Reload

and maybe Marvel vs. Capcom 2

plus more games by population vote.

All other details will be posted soon (i hope).

I was wonderin, do you have to play all the games or can you just pick one (such as MVC2) Since we already payed to enter the tournament do we have to pay for each match in the tournament? I know this is a stupid question but can you use your own dual shock controller?

You dont have to play all the games. But entry fee for each game will be required. I'm not sure how much it is yet.... it'll be coming up soon tho. And since you pay money to enter one of the tournaments, you won't have to pay any money for each match.
And yes you can use you're own dual shock controller, as long as theres like no auto fire, or "one button executions". Like if one of your buttons are programmed to do a THOUSAND hit combo in MvC2. I HIGHLY doubt anyone can do that on a dual shock lol. Plus bringing in your own controller will be best because you CAN'T blame anyone for your controller not working cuz.... its yours! you brought it in you blame urself.

Everyone should go! :p For the 3d players, I am sure that the lack of 3d fighters is because of a lack of competitive players for those respected games in the area. Yes we have a couple good players in CT->MA area such as VisciousSuicide but only thing that could attract such a amount of gamers would most likely be SC2. 3d games have alot of depth and have their brokeness but all games do but not anyone has a chance in 3d fighters, if anyone begs to differ come to a New Jersey Soul Calibur 2 tourney and bet Steve(the guy who runs the tourneys) for money as many times as you want. For Guilty Gear X#r there will be a good following I imagine around 16 players, maybe some more. If you all participate and help support the fighting game scene I am sure we can get a great following for this, also a dvd should be made covering this event so get your best game on!

That's a good question. Only I don't know the answer to it so all I can suggest is to be there for when we open at noon

Rob Stevens

I honestly can't be there BY noon. I'm almost 100% positive you guys wouldn't have a tourney the second you open. Chances are it's around 2pm, but I just wanted a confirmation on it.

The tournament starts tommorow.Hopefully there are excellent fighters because,I want it to be interesting.I don't think the tournament will begin until after 2pm or so.I'd enter the tournament but, I suck a fighting games now.The last tournament had SVC2 and street fighter 2, I did horrible on it so I gave up on fighting games for now. :(

Jay is in charge of the event, I'm pretty sure he wanted to start at 1 pm sharp and I think the first game to be run will be MVC2, but I'm not positive. Jay is the boss and all decisions are up to him. He's a really cool guy try getting a hold of him on shoryuken.com his screen name is rabidwombat.

Thanks!

Andy

So I'm proibably going to come and I'll bring my DC if that's the case. However, if it's still going on when the game starts, I'm leaving and taking my stuff with me. :)
