Yah so I dont know the exact date but there is gonna be a Dance Dance Revolution Tournament in New York City and the grand prize is gonna be 1,000. There is also gonna be other prizes such as desktop arcade, colbolt flux dance pads, games and more. I wanted to know if anyone is gonna try to go to it, I know I am!!! ^___^, ^)_(^, XD

Personally, this doesn't seem well-run, as it took MUCH convincing to allow the coordinator to let you choose any speed-mod you wanted for the qualifer- he was stubborn enough to believe that you absolutely could not do well on the edit on anything lower than 1.5x or higher than 2x, pissing off people like qkumbr and JBoy who play better on 1x or people like godai who play Tsugaru on 3x solo. :bear:

And yea... if you can't consistently do extremely well on basically anything (like, the top 10 or so competitors could probably AAA LTBHE or Freckles without trying, and can easily SDG shit like Rhythm and Police or Rain of Sorrow), I wouldn't bother unless you're going solely for fun. :guin:

Yah well I wanna go to meet people to and I wanna compete there is different divisons. Yes the expert one is gonna be crazy the qualfying song hasnt been said yet but its gonna be a edit by stefaz and if anyone went to anime boston 2004 and watched the ddr tournaments finals the V. edit that was his song. Yah I think I am gonna try anyway and do the Ironman Divison, Freestyle, and the Expert/Regular divison. Yah I talked to Blaise I said maybe to meet up havent meet him yet but if I did go I would prob get a hotel, looking for roomates if I do go Blaise might be one possibly...

Yah I am working on my Freestyle, I am gonna do Sync for my song. I am gonna be in a Konsento the Robot costume one of the characters from DDR and I am going to be doing the Robot and stuff like that, and for 4thmix I am gonna do bumble bee on freestyle. I might end up actually doing Jet World on extreme though because I like spinning and playing backwards during that song on light because thats all I do when I play Jet World on light, play backwards and spin so many times and I still manage to get like 9 greats and all perfects!!! ^___^, ^)_(^, XD!!! Yah so I think I am trying to get a hotel there I think I am gonna have to miss school because freestyle is on friday and thats school so I am gonna go up after school thursday drive up to New York City which is 3 and 1/2 hours and then stay at a hotel from Thursday night- Sunday Afternoon. WOW how am I gonna afford all of this with 3 anime conventions coming up and costumes, well I will manage I will go its only gonna be 45 for entering because I am doing 3 divisions it would be only 5 if I was doing Ironman, and yes I do have the stamnia for Ironman and plenty of it. Well I have typed far to much now and need to get to playing some more ddr practice, I am gonna go do MAX. on Challenge!!! Oyasumi, Ja ne!!! ^___^, ^)_(^, XD :p ;) :D

That really doesnt matter how I tould you if I did my freestyle, I still have like so many other ways for freestyling and songs so ones not gonna hurt :)!!! Yah its gonna be fun. Hey guys I am running the event. The rule never changed about the qualifier. 1.5 and 2 are the speeds allowed. It's not stubbornness, its DDR playing experence from myself and everyone around me who has tested the qualifier for me. They all agree that 1x or 3x, 5x or 8x on the qualifier no matter who you are will get you a lower score. I made the edit with the intent of 1.5x.

Actually I welcome open discussion of things for the event :)

There is a regular division if you are worried about the top tier competition of the Expert division. Also, anyone who fails to qualify in Expert gets a free spot in regular the next day.
