So who here is into PC gaming? I usually play my PC games in waves, I only have enough time to focus on one game at a time. Right now I am playing Day of Defeat, which is a WWII half life mod. I used to play CS, but this is much better. I played EverQuest (EverCrack) for about three years, and dropped it cold turkey when I realised it was consuming my soul. Other games I play are StarCraft, Diablo II, Halo, and Escape Velocity (The best shareware game EVER!) Anyone here big into PC gaming?

As I said in my intro not really an avid gamer, but in the past I have played the following:

I also tend to play demo versions of Tetris and puzzle games that can be downloaded for free. :)

i'm not avid, but i do so love the sims. ^_^ speaking of which, can anyone lend me a copy of the sims so i can re-download it to my computer? i'd love you forever! *hugznsquishes* i got a chance to play the sims online for free...but my registration expired, so no more of that then. ;_;

also, bryan got me into ragnarok online...knowing how addictive it is. i'm on a quest for chii ears! XD

question, what can someone tell me about the pc game earth and beyond? i've only known one person who played it, and he seemed to love it...but i haven't heard anyone else mention it since then. i wonder why...was it not popular?

I'm into Delta Force 2 it's a blast to play with friends online and kick their butts. We have a reg. game most nights thats passworded ,but if we are short players we open it to the public. The bad thing is people useing cheats,, we play fair and will bounce out those who use them. But for the most part it's a good time.

Just before Steam was introduced, I was really getting into Day of Defeat. Has anything changed much since then? Just started playing CS again and now realise why I was so engrossed a couple of years back. Despite the graphics, the gameplay is superb.

The sims was fun for about two weeks. Diablo 2 was cool. The half life games were cool. My problem with all the new games is that I need a better computer to play them on.

I seem to go through phases were I'll play a certain game for about a week, get fed up and not play it for several months. The last one I played was CM 01-02 about a month ago.

i host lan parties often. So i have a bunch of pc games on here... Just about any new FPS you can think of, i probably have on here. Not to mention starcraft.

Oh yeah, and gunbound/MagicPunk/RO/those korean games. But they don't count :P

TRUST ME IT IS, go buy it. Best 50 bucks i have spent recently. AI is beautiful, graphics is great, even on a decent PC. im running a P4 1.4 ghz Radeon 9800, 1 gig of SDRAM, and i get great frames with the detail on low, and it still looks amazing. The game will chalange you to no end. Its a good buy.

Last night I downloaded the E3 trial for Guild Wars, that game is SWEEET. Free MMORPG? And it looks GREAT.

Go check it out now, the client file is 96k or so, everything else is downloaded in game so its nice and fast. You only have through the 14th to play it, last day of E3.

I think PC games and one comes to mind - Counterstrike. I played that game for what seemed like 5 years straight. I'm off it now-a-days, but had some good times (and lan parties) back in the CS days.

There fun. Depends on what you like though. Want stealth, get Splinter Cell. no questions asked. Want just "Hey lets blow shit up" get serious sam. The whole point of the game is "here come 100000000000000478389482930278 bad guys and here is 3489y589043783489038790387907803487037034 rockets. Have fun". Want something challengeing, get far cry. Want classic, get Half Life.

But be sure to play the Java version of pong that me and turkey are making when we finish :D'

only last PC game i ever got into was unreal tournament 2004 (...demo)...i like pc demos, to be honest, i find them more interesting then the full games (it's not even that im cheap, i could download the full ones rather easily)... i end up playing the demo so much that i could care less about the full game...but then again, that's just me :p .

That was awesome... I remember that game. That and the old DOS TYPE program that my computer "teacher" used to make us all use.

But the best games were those old cheesy floppy-based games back in the DOS era. I remember some stupid halloween game that was kinda cool, but it probably got formatted with all my other floppies or stayed around magnets for a few years too long ><

You guys all suck, CS is still fun, to an extent. At least, it's a blast at LANs when it starts to get heated q:D Like the time we were all standing up and yelling as the bomb was seconds away from exploding on the last round and we were trying to defuse it... it was tense.

Uhh ohh....he is getting me started :P Where do i begin. Ok, one the community SUCKS. Everyone is always "OMFG NOOB DIDNY O HEAR THE GUY WITH THE AWP ACROSS THE MAP HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW WHERE HE IS?!!>!>!>!" or some pompous asshole "plz, 1v1 any day" Not to mention people think you hack every time you get a good kill if its not on LAN. There are some cool people who play, yea, but the majority are just morons. Then there is cheating. cheating is a HUGE problem in counter strike, and just because you have some VAC cheating detector or Cheating Death doesnt mean that it work. The last few months before i quit, i tried about 30 different hacks to see which ones will ge tthrough, and 10 got through clean and 3 were not detected by VAC alone. The offical maps suck besides cbble, inferno, and nuke. And if you use AWP, or atuomaticly a fag. There, i think i win this arguement. Play Day of Defeat, MUCH better.
