New hours and PYL returns

Hey folks, a quick update.


Starting Monday we will be resuming our "School" hours:

Monday - Thursday 2:30 to 10:30

Friday 2:30 to Midnight

Saturday, Sunday and Holidays Noon to Midnight

SEPTEMBER EVENTS

Press your luck / new mystery event will return in September. More than likely it will be on the third Saturday, the 18th. This all depends on Sal's schedule which he is in the process of confirming. As soon as I get an update I will let you know.

In the meantime I am starting registrations. As usual pick one event (primary) you would like to participate in. If you would like to enter both, you will be placed on a waiting list for the second event.

Just post a message listing your name, your primary event and if you would like to be on the waiting list for a second event.

As a side note, I am working on a new version of the Press Your Luck board for the event. Frankly, I'm not sure if I'll be able to complete it in time, or if it will be practical. (I haven't even done enough work yet to know if it will cooperate from a technical standpoint.)

Nonetheless, here are the goals:
- More accurate squares. (On the show, the same value would have different colors in different squares. For example, $500 would be orange in Square #2, but blue in Square #14. On the first TGA version, $500 was the same color across the board.)
- Squares that dissolve as they change, like the original.
- Randomly generated spin patterns.
- Boards that change entirely from one to the next, not partially as they do in the current version.

This far, I've managed to figure out what the boards will be. Not set them up that is, I've just determined what they should be...

On a related note, the new version of PYL is progressing nicely and will be ready in time for the event. Except for the graphics, version 2.0 is new from the ground up. (The previous one was a movie...the new one is in Flash.) It's been a lot of work, but the end result will be well worth it. I've managed somehow to pull off all the goals I stated, save the random patterns.

Unfortunately, building a buzzer as Devil Warrior suggested is a little beyond my resources.
