In other related (somewhat) news. Anyone see the songlist for Donkey Konga.

It's going to have Busy Child by TCM for fucks sake. YAY AMERICANIZED GAMES.

Edit: Upon review, this list makes me want to shoot myself in the head.

YAY AMERICANIZED GAMES.

What's wrong with Americanized games? I don't really understand why people are so elitist about anything Japanese.

I mean, I guess in this case you could make the argument that there aren't really taiko drum songs in it, but heck, I don't even know if the Japanese songs were actually made for taiko drums, so it doesn't really make a difference to me. I think it's kind of nifty. I'll only have a problem if they just made everything really easy.

That is so incredibly true...I'm so tired of people thinking they're cooler than everyone else because they play the Japanese version and think it's "real" and that any American version of anything is "fake."

That does happen quiet often. I frequently hear people bragging about playing the Japanese version of game X Y or Z and when I tell them how much I enjoyed the American version or equivalent, they are constantly down my back on how much it sucks. But on the other hand, DDR and certainly the upcoming Donkey Konga have had some questionable songs on them. For example, what was Kylie Minogue doing on DDR Max 2? But in my opinion, I think the Donkey Konga songs could be fun. Even if they aren't Japanese.

I actually liked the Kylie Minogue song a lot, along with a lot of the other originals from Max2. And guess what! I didn't need a special PS2 to play it. =p

Oh suck it up and deal with it... Don't like it? Don't buy it... Remember the first time DDR was released in USA? Well, that mix sucked, but look where we are now... It's the first release of this game, kinda like a experimental subject... if it does well, and if you like the games and want to continue supporting it here in the states, then buy it. Well, as for the songlist.. Sure, they are americanized, but how they are going to sell it to US, if all the songs were Japanese glibberish that only Japanese-Wannabes, with Pocky on hand, can understand...

Nougat> I think you need your feet checked :P The only good original steps on MAX2USA were Keep On Liftin'... everything else sucked, ESPECIALLY the Kylie Minogue one. I mean, look at the 4 Strings song... AWESOME song, and then they throw in these turns in the gallops that you HAVE to spin to do. That's fine in a stream, but not for gallops. Ah, whatever. I still like MAXUSA the best :D

Just because the steps were EASY doesn't mean they were TERRIBLE. I found the steps for the originals to be fitting for most of the songs.

And I wasn't really referring to step charts anyway; it was more about the fact that people were complaining about the songs themselves being bad to begin with.

Most of the songs in Taiko No Tatsujin were drum heavy, and made sense to play on a taiko drum. Now, look at this song list. I'm not saying its BAD because it's amercanized, I'm just saying that whoever compiled that list is a moron.

When did I ever say I didn't like them because they were easy -_____________________________-;

Me saying that I liked Keep on Liftin' is living proof of that. And most of the songs ARE bad XD Like Forever Sunshine.

Its not that I don't like Americanized games... its just that I don't like the majority of mainstream American music. Put some cool electronica or junk and I might like it more.

Harry -- Wow. I don't know where the hell I pulled that from. I think I just read the post too fast; my bad. :guin:
And DW, I have to agree about recent American music. It all just seems so shallow and useless.

I LOVE shuffled gallops! In matching mod tournies, I used to pick them all the time. :D You never HAVE to spin. Just switch your feet in the middle of the gallop.

Do we even know that all of those Japanese songs were that drum-heavy? I would just find it funny if Japanese people originally had the same questions about some of the songs on their original version. I'm sure it'll turn out fine.

You never HAVE to spin.

Gah... the 5.1.1. syndrome :X I personally don't like them, but that's just me. I always get nervous on songs where you really for the most part can't turn. Which is why I forever hate 2MBdou. >_< YAY TRIP MACHINE DOUBLE STEP MIXXOR.

Yea, it's alright n00g... I was just having a bad day, I'm really sorry for being all LIJGJEOIJAOIJAO like that :( *offers sex*

EDIT: Just a quick question for Bryan if you're reading this... is it normal for those PHP variables and their values to display at the end of every page? :bear:
