I put this in its own thread just incase some people do not want some of the songs on this mix ruined for them
We have just recieved more song information on DDR EX US, and I am very impressed!
321 Stars - DJ Simon
A - DJ Amuro
Absolute - DJ Taka
B4 - Naoki
B4U (B4 ZA Beat mix) - Naoki
Maximizer - Cli-Max S. (the New 8 foot Max song... "Unlockable steps" are in speculation)
Trip Machine - Desire
Trip Machine Survivor - Desire
Tsugaru (Apple Mix) - RevenG vs. Desire
V - DJ Taka
Wild Rush (From Nonstop Megamix) - Factor X
You're Not Here - Akira Yamaoka feat. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Song from Silent Hill 3)
Not too shabby. I really can't wait till this game comes out!
And it is also said that in order to get the Extra stage, they are forcing you to AA a heavy song that is level 8 or higher <.<

but which AA version are they using. The FC method or the crazy ninty-something percent perfect thing. Have they made the timing window reasonable? Cuz there's no way my PA is this good. Even on my hands. But level 8 or higher, shouldn't be a problem. Least kids won't brag about freckles extra stage on home version

It is deffinatly the 5th mix AA method from what I have been hearing.
And I have not heard info about perfect window, but Assuming that this is a home version , and past home version games have had hige windows, then it should be about the same as Max 2 US

This sounds very cool, I wonder if Maximizer is gonna be like a Max 300, Maxx Unlimted or The Legend of Max, well we will find out soon comes out in a month. Oh yah, people if you buy off http://www.gamestop.com they are also giving you a free promo disc with 15 tracks from DDR Extreme USA! ^___^

In Max and Max2 you got a AA either way.

Sob, I was hoping for a really good 10-footer to play at home.

then i don't want it. A Max on Heavy... I mean come oN! the MAX name should immediately mean 10 feet. Even PSM followed that rule.
Max 300= 10 feet
MaxX= 10 feet
LOM= 10 feet
PSM/O= 10 feet
Maximizer= 8 or 9 feet.
Maximizer had better be a friggin hard 9, like cartoon-heroes-hard, or if it's 8 (in which i will grab a shotgun) it better be a Waka Laka/Witch Doctor type mofo

You don't want the game AT ALL now...just because it lacks a stupidly hard song?
Dude...Stepmania. Get all the stupidly hard stuff you could ever dream of.

So true. I mean... there's Maximum Overdrive. That's a max. Sort of...

Yah kinda, but not because thes steps are really really easy! ^___^
DDRFREAKRI
August 25th, 2004, 18:51
Yes, the steps are really easy, I hope that on the american version there is gonna be Butterfly Upswing mix but that would never happen, oh well I am really happy with my DDR Extreme Import already.

BUY VAPORIZER (http://vaporizers.net/)

Ultragheymix was... well... ghey.
Maximizer is a 10 on challenge. Okay all of you can shut up now :D
The whole 5th-mix grading system is a turn off... but hey, it's not 4th mix grading. And I agree that simply because a song isn't a 10 makes you not want to buy it is very lame. MAX2US didn't have Max300, did you not buy it because of that? The Japanese version had both MaxX Unlimited and Max300, AND PARANOiA survivor.
7 footers are fun too.
Garrett
August 25th, 2004, 19:25
7 footers rock. I would buy DDR US Ex even if it only had www.blonde girl momo mix. That song rocks. But having a 10 footer is a plus.

August 27th, 2004, 02:20
Yeah, Maximizer does have hard (unlockable) challenge steps that no one knows anything about yet. Its actually just speculation that they're 10 feet but I'm sure they are too.
And as for the heavy steps Pakwan Kenobi said that he used his precious little playing time trying to FC that 8 footer and he couldn't do it in 4 tries. And I'm sure he doesn't suck at DDR either (he DID get the extra stage). So if you're worried that an 8 footer can't be all that hard then you don't have to worry about this one.
CreemyNougat
August 27th, 2004, 02:23
So what you're saying is that Maximizer is 8 feet in the sense that Cartoon Heroes is 9.

You're Not Here - Akira Yamaoka feat. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Song from Silent Hill 3)
This song is horrible. More proof that people buy into things because of the artist or brand names.
CreemyNougat
August 27th, 2004, 04:56
It's not "buying in" if you expect an artist you like to deliver something worth it.
If someone likes Akira Yamaoka, has heard much of his work and enjoyed it, and finds out a new work will be available, why SHOULDN'T he/she get excited.
And also, whether a new song sucks or not is entirely opinion.

My little brother owns Silent Hill 3 (he's only 14... i don't know how he manages to pull these things off <.<;; ) and I heard "You're Not Here" before the title screen... It's not Akira's best, but it was pretty good.
And i didn't know that the "unlockable steps" for Maximizer were confirmed... i guess i need to read the DDR Extreme US thread on DDR freak a little harder next time... its hard to pay attention when everyones like "I want cartoon heroes" every five seconds >.>
