How 'bout that Handball?

Anyone seen this odd sport during the Olympics? And WHY have I never heard of it before this year?

But it was pretty sweet when the US beat the Aussies by 3 points. Total pwn4ge.

I used to play a game like this in middle school called Wallball. lol. It was like Handball but with alot more pain. You would keep throwing the ball against the wall with a big group, If you caught it you threw it, If you dropped it, You ran to the wall and everyone scrambled to get the ball and throw it at you before you hit the wall. Yup... Fun game^^

Wallball = Awesome
At my school,(a Catholic school, tee hee), it was called Deathball. I played it a lot.

I've been enjoying watching Olympic sports that otherwise don't get much media coverage in the U.S.A. I've at least watched a portion of field hockey (for obvious reasons ;) ), badminton, water polo, and table tennis. I need to check out some of that awesome handball action though.

Damn i used ot play that too, but we called it suicide because we played with a friggen lacross ball, that hurt so much.

Ya we had "Suicide" versions, It was with a lacross ball and you had to catch with one hand, Another one that we played was, If you drop[ped it 3 times you had to go up to the wall and the person who got the ball got to throw at you with your back turned 3 times from a line a little far back, But it still hurt like a bitch, Ah well, Not like I was ever in that position, I was pretty damn good in my day^^

We played that at the pond in my town back in the day. We called it Butts-Up. Hehe. I once nailed a kids nuts from the back. Yeah. Mad skillz.

Hehe yes! We played that at the pond too! We played between two trees. It was damn fun. But there weren't enough rules that were always enforced to make the game run smoothly. Still fun.

Not enough rules? If your pegged 3 times your out, can go back to a base once you left it. All you need to know. Ohh if you get injured and have to sit down, your out.

Problem was, people who were runners would steal the ball and huck it into the pond, so then the throwers had to go get it. That's why I HATED being the thrower. :mad:
