Anime Boston 2005, Who Plans to go???

Hello all, just wanted to know who is planning to go to Anime Boston 2005. Another thing I wanted to know if anyone is gonna be going up the night before which is thursday April 28th, 2005. I wanted to know because I am going to be having like a pre-ab 05 hangout at the Shearton for those you are getting a hotel at the convention. Just im/email at ECash89@aol.com if you want any information about whats gonna happen at the hangout.

Team Leominster is gonna rock the house at Anime Boston '05! But we're definitely not getting a hotel room, we're going to either take the T in every morning or stay at our friends Gabe's house in Cambridge.

The musical guest is highly unlikely... It's not their "style" and anyways it's an anime convention... Don't get me wrong we all love J-rock and J-pop, but it's not anime, so I don't think they will... Sadly... T.T

a lot of anime conventions have jpop music guests....2004 otakon had larc en ciel......and a few years before that boa was the musical guest.

I just want to take a moment to profess my profound love for boa...she is so unbelievably cute...(and shes korean)...I have like a thousand pictures of her that I rotate on my laptop for my background...she's also a few months younger than me...so maybe I should ask her out the next time she is in the area.

I have no idea what I'm going to do about it though... I want to get a hotel room, but I don't think I'll have enough people to do it with... I have enough time to figure everything out though.

Anime Convention or not, Otakon had a musical guest and thats on the the largest anime conventions, so who knows maybe they will have a musical guest because they are taking suggestions on the anime boston forums.

Well this year I will try not to spend my whole time in the game room but I had loads of fun playing DDR because thats what I was doing 2/3 of the time except for when I was waiting in the line, the line was bad but I ended up talking to people in line so it went fast. This year though I plan to do other stuff and be in the masquerade if everything goes right! ^___^

This will be my next con and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm already planning my cosplay and starting on stuff to sell in Artist's Alley.

Other cons besides otakon have bands too. Acen had SID, and I think some west con cons have had Psyhco le Cemu (?) amonst otheres.

Yes this year of Anime Boston 2005 is going to be great. Already have a hotel reserved which we had reserved 11 months before the con, and plus I am going to be having the hangout, but I need to get things together for that. Well I am hoping that they will have a DDR machine again (hopefully DDR Extreme) but I am sure they will because they had one last year and oh yah awesome job on DDR last year Joe P it was awesome (thats was one sick V. for Extreme edit.) I also can't wait until the dance again. Last year the dance was awesome even though I only went on saturday night for like 1 hour but it was fun and I was breakdancing in this dance circle! ^___^ (Must bring weapon to avoid Crazy Fan Girls asking me to do Yaio.)

And yea, guest singers sing at all different anime cons... one of I know of is Yoko Ishida, who covers anime theme songs in eurobeat style and performs for convertions usually on the west coast. But she did it in Chicago last ... last? year.

Yah for TGA people that are going I am having a general hangout at the Shearton the day before the con (if interested information found at this link http://forums.animeboston.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=113&topic_id=1534&mesg_id=1534&page=, and for those that can not make that we could prob meet in the game room Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It stunk last year that the game room closed early, less playing DDR and Pop N' Music.

Oh yea... Assuming they understand how popular it was last time, I think they should be able to get the machine back... If not, i guess its resorting to Extreme JP >.>

We should definatly set up a time for some sort of TGA meetup for photos or something..It'll probably be better to do that closer to the con , after the schedule is realeased though.

Ya, I was thinking that we could arrange places to meet for when we go out for lunch/dinner/whatever.
Is there a T-station right near the Heiz Con Center? And can I easily take that T to Cambridge? Is there somewhere I can find this out?!!

There are TWO T stops near the convention center -- the Hynes stop which is about a block away from the convention center and the Prudential stop which is inside the Prudential building, which is directly connected to the convention center. As for where the T (and assorted bus and rail lines) run, you may want to look at the MBTA's website (http://www.mbta.com).

The area is great. There are about 34558767634 places around to meed up and look cool. Too bad I won't be around most of the con (someone's gotta do the work...)

If we were to meet, why dont we just meet in the Shearton lobby or outside the Game Room at the Con. That might be alittle but easier rather then walking around boston to find them (just a suggestion though.)

If there ends up being no machine and we need to use a console version, I'll bring my copy, because it's hacked and has the actual, you know, HARD timing windows that the arcade has. Plus, it has the Last Message and Love Shine oni steps automatically unlocked.

That and I had way to much fun changing the mod names XD

What kind of copy of DDR Extreme do you have??? Yah if they don't have a machine (which I think they will) but if they don't I will bring my PS2 DDR Extreme, Beatmania/IIDX and maybe para para if I have it and me PSP! ^___^

Man, I've been kinda excited about my cosplay for this... and forgot that I hadn't said I wanted to go...

So yea, RyAn'll be there. Either as Testament, with the costume revamped and ready for a true Con =)

Or as Alucard from Hellsing, but not the one you see everone do... I'll be Alucard from later on , like... end of the series =D
