In regards to my recent thread on the acquisition of our DDR Extreme machine and my failure at attempting to buy the machine, I feel we should have a "goodbye arcade partay". The place is closing by the end of the month, but Hermando was already packing up a number of games including the Star Wars Trilogy and Time Crisis 3. So I feel our "goodbye arcade partay" should be next Wednesday. Please try to invite such non-team people as Mark, Eric, MIT Eric, Brandon Hoover, Brandon Germain, Allen, and anyone else you feel would have a good time. The party should go all day and people should just come and play and hang out whenever they can. It will be up to TML to bring food and drink, and I think we should all invite ourselves over to Blaises house afterward.
Sigh. Goodbye arcade. :crybaby:

lol, My house 0_o... lol Why not?
But ya, Food and drink will be difficult since it isnt allowed in the arcade and Armando and Manuel will prolly still be in Nazi mode, btw, This whole thing has gotten me thinking of starting up my own arcade (Pipedream much?) but ya, I am trying to get a job and once I pay off the few debts I have left I will be putting all my money towards purchasing a DDR 5th Mix or Extreme or 7th Mix. This may not happen for a while, But I am deffinatly putting up a savings toward this, So that after I get out of full sail I can have a possability for a buisness.

We can have food and drinks outside the arcade. Duh. Like a little table or something.
Well, if you're starting an arcade I wanna be a part of it. Or if you're going to buy a machine, I wanna help pay for it. Cuz the closest DDR machine (Solomon Pond) sucks teh mighty weenie. So. Banana.

My plan right now, Is to start saving now, Make enuff for a new DDR 3rd mix machine and an upgrade (Still undecided) Then keep that all in a savings account. So when I get out of Full Sail I will be able to purchase a machine and then all of the money going into it would be profit except some aside to pay for the rent and electricity, But I would also have food and drink there, Kind of like another upstart TGA, Maybe I could help make TGA a chain arcade^^
Note: People are always saying that the coin op division of DDR is dead but I have a theory, Why would Konami let coin op die when sales for DDR console versions in america are amazing compared to what they used to be, As it gets more mainstream, They will reopen their coin op division to a new mix when they strike a deal with US artists to license their songs onto this new mix (4 strings, Dirty Vegtas, DJ Sammy. Paul Oakenfold, etc..) and then the Japanese artists will still be in the running since people still love their music and they will start making more money and want to make more songs, Reviving DDR yet again^^
