mario is like the best of the best for the nintendo systems so........ what is your favorite mario game?

mine is Super Mario 64

I'm ganna say Super Mario bros. 3

To me this was the most challenging for the fact that if it was done on an NES you had to beat it in one sitting like 1 and 2, But also if you did not use the flutes there were A very ncie amount of levels and most were very challenging. It had a really good balance.

I would also like to point out how Super Mario Bros 2 will get like no votes for best but for some sick and twisted reason I loved that game and it was the first Mario game I ever beat so ya. I enjoyed Mario 2 throughly.

My top three are Dr. Mario, Mario 2, and then Superstar Saga/Mario RPG

Dr. Mario is just a phat pimp game with hip hop flair and beats that won't stop.....
Mario two gave us character choice, and fun level design, hard bosses, etc
And superstar saga is just awesome. It's tied with Super Mario RPG

and then all the other games, with Mario Sunshine on the bottom....curse that game

I can so imagine that. Oh man xD I learned a lot of english with super mario 3 when I was c child. All the games I have played in puerto rico were dubbed. SO I came here and to my suprise. I had to learn english.. damn the world xD

Heh, I remember for Super Mario World it took me like 3 months to unlock the spedail area, Prolly not that long but thats how it felt, Then when I got it for GBA, I played it non stop for 2 days and unlocked it^^

I remember when I got super nitendo I was so excited I remember playing super mario world, AND i love the cheeseyness of it, then I got disapointed with NG4's Mario... But Mario Kart for Super Nitendo rocked for some reason haha Me and my friends could play that for hours instead of the Recent Mario Go Kart that came out on game cube

So Super Mario World & Mario Go Kart the Original is what I love :D

Super Mario World was my very first videogame, so I'm rather biased XD But yea... I seriously played ALL DAY just to get past Tubular >_< Then I was able to beat the rest of the secret world fairly easily. I like jumped up and down when I finally got all 96*s :O I was probably 7 or 8...

Super Mario RPG kicked TOTAL fucking ass. Man, I loved that game to no end. Anyone up for an SNES party at my house before the end of summer? =D Man, I want to play SNES SO bad right now. That's when games were good. NES and SNES. They were HARD back then... now most platformer games are ridiculously easy ><

my vote goes for Dr.Mario, I dont know much about the other Mario games anyways (I never owned a non-handheld nintendo system) but if I did have more access to nintendo growing up, chances are I would've loved Mario Paint.

My favorite mario is Mario 3 for NES cuz it had great graphics and it was/is fun as hell. It was so hard to find back in the day. It was sold out everywhere. I still have the cartridge and case it came with w/ a KayBee toys price sticker on it lol.

ummmm, yeah....bad mario games.....can we say mario is missing?
even though i KNEW it sucked, i couldnt stop playing it, because in the back of my head, i had this sick idea that maybe, just maybe, i'd find a door that led somewhere fun......

as for favorite, it's a toss-up b/w super mario world and mario paint....the super star world levels in SMW are the first serious, keep-you-coming-back challenges i can remember ever having in a video game, and mario paint's create-a-song feature let me make some of the sickest techno beats ever with kiba....

For me, it's Super Mario 1, since it's incredibly simple, and I can beat the game in NO time. It was also the first Mario game I ever played when I was like 7 years old. My cousin got Nintendo for Christmas back in '87. We played Super Mario Bros. and World Class Track Meet all night. Good Times!
