YEAH! i started playing it again, its ADDICTIVE! since there really arn't any other good fighters out there anymore, i mean its been what, over how many years since a REAL good game came out after this and GGXX?

King of Fighters 2003 is a good fighting game :P

Anyways, Marvel Vs Capcom 2 rocks, and always will. I'm usually Hayato, Ken, and either Megaman or Wolverine.

like all fighting games (or all games in general), i'm not really good at it. ^_^; but i love it anyway.

Sounds like someone just cant fight the buttom mashers ^^

I love the game, not nearly as much as SFA3 but still a good one, However when you get into the longer battles with the better players it all comes down to who can do the biggest moves in the cheepest combos'

MvC2 is probably my favorite fighting game ever.

Much like any other fighting game, you won't lose to a button masher if you have any idea what you're doing. It just has that sort of reputation since button mashing in this game actually makes flashy stuff happen sometimes. And the top tier is very pronounced, which makes high-level play a little bit repetitive considering the amount of characters actually in the game. It's still fun though!

YES it IS! how old is the game? like 3-4 years old? and a lot of people still play the damn game like everyday, plus tournaments are still being held for this game, AMAZING!

i remember playing against Trevor Chan randomly one day, and he completely shut me down. First time i've ever encountered a lock down in a video game. He used spiral or spinal or whatever her name is, and Sent. And man i got my ass handed to me. But i'm a masher by trade

Lots of <3 to him. He just doesn't play it much at all.

Next time I go to TGA maybe I'll bring my DC and my stick.

i only ever played it for Ryu really, was always pissed their was no Sabretooth on there.

Uhhh, Sabretooth IS in the game.

And unfortunately, Ryu is horrrrrible in this game. One of the few where he sucks. Same with Chun Li.

Okay okay... seeing as we're starting up so many tournaments. If you have an idea for a tournament and would like to talk about the logistics about these tournaments just throw me a PM or make a thread in "Events & Tournaments" with [Planning] in front of it.

Thats called "Picking Doom and chipping them to death with Molecular sheild"

Anyway, I cant play this game anymore without getting bored. Its over and done with.

That game simply r0x0rs! I <3 all the characters, but I am completely awful and will always be awful at that game. Nevertheless, we should still get it for TGA :D

MvC2, although a sweet fighter, has a few major flaws.
(but then, I consider some of these applicable to all fighters)

(1) Too many cheap characters, and cheap team makeups.
The so called 'upper tier' usually revolves around key characters.. which is so not fun to watch, or play against.

(2) Bloody awful music.
What fun is it to play a game where the music detracts from the game?
"I wanna take you for a ri-i-i-de... " *shudder*

(3) So called upper tier complains about button mashers.
Guess what, everyone mashes, at some point in their 'career', be more respective of 'newbies', and remember, you were one once.

Other than that, it's great.
I love making up wacked out teams, or theme teams and just ripping on so called 'ubers'.

There is a distinctive 4 character top tier, but it's still fun to watch, play against them. I mean, Magneto might be the most exciting character to watch.

No one that's any good complains about mashers, because...well...you're not any good if you lose to one. I don't know if you can say everyone mashes at some point in their career...I mean, I guess it's true to some extent. But it's not very easy to "be respective" of people who don't even try to learn how to actually play.
