On topic: DoomIII im not so sure about. Looks like you need some MONSTER resources to run it, and i dont have the cash yo upgrade my pc that much.

Well im not sure how bad my PC will run it. I have Painkiller runnning with little or no slow down and im using a 1.4 GHz P4 with 1 gig of SDRAM and a radeon 9200

I think you were still a baby when the first one came out... yeah, you were definitely either not born, or too young to remember it. Haha, I remember the controversy that the game got when it first came out. "Way too bloody and gory," they said. Man, what were they thinking. :]

Screw Doom III. The whole reason that Doom was good in the first place was because it was original. It was a fucking DOS SHUMP. Honestly, if the new version of an old DOS game is going to take ridiculous amounts of System resources, fuck it.

Doom is banking on the "OMG SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF YOU AND LOOK GOOD DOING IT" stragety. Resident evil games did it well along with some other games like Painkiller. HAlf Life 2 is actualy making good use to a fucking powerfull engine to do more than just scare you.

Ok i retract my statement. Doom 3 is FUCKING AMAZING. Barring the fact that it runs like shit on my PC, this game is beyond beautiful. It is done in such a good manner that im glad they waited to release it. It plays great, and it scared the SHIT out of me like 4309430943209 times already.

Doom 3 = Stupid.

The whole "Scare the shit out of you" stuff gets boring after you see your second imp, and after the 2nd or 3rd time someone spawns behind you AFTER you fully clear out a room. That isn't scary, its annoying. I mean, those zombies have to be coming out of your ASS to be sneaking up on you like they do.

ohh come on, the way the game is constructed is beautifull. Going into a dark room with 1 corner lighted up dimly and 6 zombies lurking around the room. That was scary. And how about when the zombie has his back facing you when you entered the room and when you went for him, you got flanked by the zombie on the side with a wrench. Scared the shit out of me.
