Well, I wish I had installed the spolier tag so I can confirm or deny that accusation. It was a great movie, well deserving of all the money it made.

i didn't like it too much. Not enough action, too much romance. And the few fight scenes i feel didn't make up for it too much

You're just a faggot who's trying to make up for his masculinity.

I loved it, flat-out.
Some stuff was cheesy, but only what had to be, and it was kept comic book cheesy.
And so much happens that you wouldn't think would happen.

I thought that it was actually pretty funny. I mean, how could you not laugh out loud when Spidey ran out of web and fell 50 feet onto some metal pipes on top of a building, landing on his back? How could you not laugh at the overly-dramatic scene where, in an attempt to regain his powers, he jumps of the roof of a building? It was great when they zoomed in on his face as he ran... wo did he ever look silly. And then when he jumped, he ended up falling. Again! In addition, the first scene of the movie, with him racing through the streets on his scooter, had such dramatic action-scene music that I was in stitches. The funniest scene of all was when he arrived in the janitors closet at the hotel and spent an entire minute attempting to put some brooms and mops back in the closet.

Anyway... it was funnier than it was anything else. To me... ^ . ^

I thought the movie was done very well. I have no complaints, which means it justified my $10 being spent....TWICE!

i think you mean i'm trying to make up for my femininity. Unless you mean lack of masculinity, then you would be correct :D

i was ...mildly disappointed with spiderman 2....although it could have been because there was this guy next to me who had the most rancid body odor....regardless...it seemed really slow to me...i felt myself shifting in my seat out of boredom...it seemed like it wanted to try and make itself too serious...i know this movie will never win an oscar...but i didn't come to see a drama/romance...i came to see web-slinging and crime fighting (apologies for the cheesyness of the previous line, but hey, isn't it true?) I'm not a huge fan of the guy they picked for doc oct...just seemed so...blah...maybe it was just because i loved the first one so much and expected something better....i personally enjoyed the first one much more.

I don't think a good action movie has ever won an oscar. Oscar is "too good" for those movies. Unless I'm wrong... but I have never seen one in my time at least.

couldn't have been that much more romance than the first one. @_@;; if i were to pick a movie that had too much of that, it'd be attack of the clones.

There's plenty of romance in the comic books.

There's plenty of romance in the comic books.

except in the comics they were able to spread it out over years, but in the movies they had to cram their entire relationship into 6 hours. oo;

2001 - Denzel Washington (actor) - Training Day
2001 - Black Hawk Down (sound) + (editing)

2000 - Gladiator (best picture) + (actor-russel crowe) + (costume design) + (sound)

1999 - The Matrix (sound) + (sound editing) + (sound effects editing) + (film editing)

1998 - Saving Private Ryan (Cinematography) +(sound) + (film editing) + (sound effects editing)

1997 - L.A. Confidential - Kim basinger (best supporting actress) + (writing)

1996 - Independence Day (visual effects)

1995 - Braveheart (best picture) + (direction) + (cinematography) + (Makeup) + (sound effects eidting) + (

1994 - Pulp Fiction (writing:directly for the screen)

there are oscars from the last 10 years, ...however, for the most part you are right though...the academy usually swings towards either drama or flashy musicals (moulin rouge, chicago etc. etc.)...im a big movie fan as you can probably tell...oh, and...1996 best picture "The english patient" sucked...a lot....i fell asleep through it twice before i could get through it from start to finish....i was just thinkin of that movie when i was trying to remember all the awards for past years.
