Ok, my question is regarding DDRMAX2 Japanese home console version. Are there background dancers in this one? If so, how do you unlock them? :confused: I know they were in the US version. And can anyone explain the goofy unlock system?!?!? :p k thx bye

From what I remember DDRMAX2 did not have background dancers. Correct me if I'm wrong I think it was the Japanese DDR Extreme.

The goofy unlock system is the same for MAX2 US.

You get 10 'points' for a AAA, 5 for a AA, 4 for an A, 3 for a B, 2 for a C, and 1 for a D for each song you play. Then if you watch the title screen it will show your unlock progress and how many more points you need to unlock the next item.

Also, in MAX2 JP only, the special purple songs only unlock by clearing them in oni mode. But you can make your own oni course consisting of random purple songs on little so its not too hard.

So, if you were to play 5 songs and then obtain ES and OMES, you would only receive 7 points, whereas in MAX2JP you could receive 70 (although that would be next to impossible without Controller Controller Revolution =P)

Oh yeah, I forgot. Thanks and karma for you. I also forgot to mention that if you rush unlock something it will save you on points later. For example if you rush unlock MaxX Unlimited by clearing the extra stage then star number 23 (or whatever) will lite up even though you never earned the points for it. Then when it comes time to unlock something by points later on you'll skip that number.
