I Just had the greatest idea! DDR RPG'S!

I Just had a friggin Ippifany, Ipiffany, augh, a Great idea

You're a dancer, and your dances have magical capibilities. Attack, Stat Changing, Even bringing some of the gods to do a small favor as payment to see you.

Some of the Paranoia Demons have taken the four pillars of the world and you decide to not let the world go into darkness, but fight back. These four pillars of which the world rests upon are the 4 Maxes: 300, Unlimited, Legend, and Period. (these battles are on heavy difficulty, of course)

You start out only being able to 1 foot songs. (it won't be a full song for an attack, maybe just a section from it.) As you quest throughout the world, people will teach you songs, you will learn to become stronger, faster, and last longer.

Once you defeat a demon that took control of a certain Max, you gain the ability to use that song to attack.

Of Course, each song/set of steps will have a purpose.

Examples of steps!
Kind Lady= Healing
My Fire= Fire Attack, duh
Smoke= Water attack
Cowgirl= Earth
SWOTOR= Wind
Trip Machine Survivor= Dark
Drop The Bomb= Holy

All the enemies will be a song, and when you beat them, you can learn it.
The amount of damage done, how much healed, how high your stats go up after spell, etc. will be determined by how close you get to a AAA. AAA is maximum damage

I had an awesome idea for a DDR RPG once. It was so awesome that everyone hated it a lot.

Nah this doesn't sound THAT bad... a little cheesy, but could be cool if done well.. xD

i think this game would take a rediculously long time to beat. Every single battle you'd have to play several songs, and the score based thing is just silly. Let's say the pillar of 300 is a nice offensive attack. On a home pad, with no bar, i probably couldn't get higher then a C, so the attack would be weaker. Sure, some of this sounds like a good idea, but you'd have to think out the actual dance system.

I didn't mean the whole song for the attack, i meant certain sections. AN attack (asssuming it's not a Max Attack) would take maybe 20 seconds

Twenty seconds is still way too long in my book. Regular RPG battles don't last that long, especially for one attack. This game doesn't appeal to me, because I turbo through games all the time, to do this would take way too long and bore me before it did anything else.

Great idea, but that's my honest opinion.

Sweet Jesus, must every game on the planet be made into an RPG?! Granted some RPG makeovers are fun, but some games should just be left undefiled. It would be an unforgivable sin to rape DDR. :mouse:

...except in the case of the Final Fantasy games where you can spend an entire weekend waiting for Summon Knights of the Round (7) or the Eden G.F. (8) to finish casting...
