What's the one DDR moment you wish you could forget?

Mine happened at the pier in Santa Monica, CA. Jen and a few of my friends were with me while I was playing Era Maniac Doubles on the pier's 5th Mix. It was a busy weekend so there were a lot of people around. Can you see where this is going yet? I think there were about 30 onlookers, I had a great run, and then as I was approaching the end of the song, I fell off the side of the machine, like blatently fell off. Consequently, I failed the song.

It was one of the only times I had ever fallen off the pad freestyling. I hope it doesn't happen again either.

I was down in Disney World on vacation and played on the DDR 1st at DisneyQuest. The first two songs were fine, but when we went to pick the third (Paranoia), my hand slipped, and "Have You Never Been Mellow" comes on screen instead. The crowd moaned in agony and my friend and I got off the machine before the first set of steps came up. X_X

In the arcade, falling off the pad when I first tried Sakura. Now I don't fall off the pad, I AA it. =D But always having good enough PA to AA a song and getting MISSES because I CAN'T FULL COMBO ANYTHING FOR SOME INANE REASON

Mine... kinda sad I guess. I was getting into the game, and was at Bigtop in Fall River playing 5th with my friend Dustin. We were havin a good time, a few laughs, getting used to these new songs, and of course, I decide I wana take a stab at Theme from Enter the Dragon....

Some people hate this song but I like it =)

Anyway, we start going ,and realise, we are WAY in over our heads (at the time) and we start trying our HARDEST To pass this song, and all of a sudden, my left foot suddenly goes a bit too far down, just BARELY catches the edge of the pad, and I fall hard off the pad

My ankle is hurting, but I jump up, and land on the pad, wincing ever few steps, but still trying...

I failed... but I gave it my all....

Also, during the pause in extasy, I ran around a bunch of machines in GP, a wider circuit than normal, and apparently the kid I was playing with decided to do the same thing... just in the other direction...

Running around the corner of the machines, I'm gona make it!

WHAM! We collide, mid circuit...

I get up, run for the machine to hit the jump...!

Half beat too late... o_O

Oh well, there went my fun ass Full Combo... for another day...

I failed Max 300 Standard on the first, like, six steps. O_O
I was totally off-beat and couldn't recover in time...

Still not as embarassing as the time I was at an arcade in London (and as with all the DDR machines I went to over there, there's always a few people watching) and I was all set to play Tsugaru on LIGHT mode and SOMEHOW I set the speed to 6x (maybe 8x, i'm not sure) and started playing and I'm like: "WTF?!" After the initial shock wore off, I was able to do OK, but it was too late, I had already failed the song.

Every time I tried to play Kakumei (heavy) in the arcade, I'd fail it (I could pass it at home.)

That all changed Friday, when I finally beat the damn thing at MFC. I can finally say that I passed a cata.

Freckles Doubles...second time I'd tried it. Doing fine until the end of the gallops on the far left hand side of the pad. My left foot, came down between the pad and the window at Tilt...and got stuck there. ><. So as the song proceeds to fail, I'm sitting there trying to get my foot un-stuck...while people sit and laugh at me. -_-

GT tournament, two legged doubles, my foot goes completely sideways and everyone laughs at me. i couldn't lift it up or anything. :( it screwed up my walking for a few hours. thanks billy brown!

i was DDRing on the MAX machine at the warwick showcase, and before i started some kid pretending to DDR (didnt put any money in, just was making a mockery of DDR with his buds) and spilt some soda on the up arrow. i started DDRing, and i noticed it but, forgot about it. i got half way into Orion .79 and hit the up arrow, and i was leaning back so i slipped on it and rammed my back into the bar. (the padding didnt do much)
yeah. some people were watching, and one woman tried to help me up.
what an embarrasment :confused:

This past Friday I went over to Lazer Gate with some friends to put in a couple of games of lazer tag and play some 4th Mix Plus. I had just gotten back from four days of Field Hockey camp, so my legs were incredibly sore (and I have a two-tone shinguard tan. :confused: ) I figured that I'd stick it out and play a few games. I had difficulty passing songs that I usually do well on. I also did much worse than usual at lazer tag too, because I was too sore to really duck down and avoid getting hit. I'd chalk that up as a failure.

I've had people spill stuff on the pads while I've played before too. The most notable time was when someone carlessly left their open water bottle on the side of the Max2 machine (back when it was a 5th Mix) at the Swansea Mall Big Top. They went to grab it, and knocked the bottle over. It didn't spill onto the pad too much, but it drenched the book that one of my friends had bought as a birthday present. Needless to say, I was pissed.
