Anyone here into Tekken series ? well I just found out about the new upcoming Tekken 5 and it looks pretty cool as long as it doesnt have the same gamplay of Tekken 4 I personnaly didn't like it I'm more old school like Tekken tag so anyways want to see more about Tekken 5 go here :

He has died twice already, right? And is about to die of natural age, no less? I heart Tekken's storyline.

...all I ask from Tekken 5 is that I do not automatically get the "YOU LOSE" screen every time I pick someone other than Jin when fighting someone playing as Jin. That shit got real old real quick in Tekken 4.

ANd I am a HIGE Tekken fan. I've got posters and figures and shit all over the place. And yes, I have the Jin/Unknow tat.
I have the trailer on my comp (the E3 one) and it looks awesome. Everyone seems pretty happy with it so far. Some of the new moves are friggin brutal ^_^.
There are 3 new characters: Asuka Kazama (she'll be my main Chara cuz she fights like Jun abd Jun was my main fighter), Raven who uses Ninjitsu, and Feng Wei who uses chinese martial arts (im not sure what type).

Other confirmed characters are: Kazuya, Lei, Julia, Jin, Craig, Paul, Christie, Steve, Yoshimitsu, Kuma, Bruce, Bryan, Anna, Law, Ling, King, Jack (jack 5 i think), and Bob (Hwoarang).

It takes place right after Tekken 4 , according to the trailer, it shows Hei and Kaz still in the Dojo w/ black feathers falling from the sky (from Jin flying away apparently).

We don't know if Hei is truly dead or what as of now..he could always come back.

Whats really cool is there is supposed to be a card system. You can aquire items for your characters and stuff. You can also have custom colors for thie outfits. (i think I remember seeing a pic of Craig on the Zaibatsu wearing a Pirate hat). This is sweet ^_____^

I've already talked to Brian at Tilt about it. ^_^ I think this will be a really good tekken game.

Look for it later on this year in the arcade, the home version will be released in the first quarter next year i think.


Btw..not sure if any of you care.. Its the tenth annivesary for the Tekken series.

Actually, that would be a really cool thing (if it shows up in the US). They need to rip more of their stuff off, like the Internet ranking support (and the less broken game mechanics, but that is just my opinion :p ).

i have never been a big 3d fighter fan, other than Project Justice because that game is so damn cool. Too easy for someone to spam punch or kick and win. Atleast in most 2d fighters, barring MvC2, you are required to know what your doing to some degree or your chances of winning are diminished greatly.

It IS being distributed to everyone. They just get to play it first because it's a big group of fighting gamers and it makes sense from a publicity standpoint to showcase it there. It's not like you're going to have to wait another year before YOU get to play it (unless your arcade sucks).

Speaking of Tekken, I was in the Papa Gino's in Portsmouth NH last week, and they have a Tekken machine. Old school Tekken. Complete with old burned in screen. :)

Haha, i have converted. Tekken 5 is one of the more balanced 3d fighters i have ever seen. Every character, yes including steve and nina, have another fighter that can beat them. So much stragety involved this time around. They went back to the TTT juggle style and brought back some of the old favorites. Baek, Panda, Devil Jin, Rodger Jr all are back for the 5th installment. The 3 new fighters, Feng (quick and BRUTAL), Askua (Sp? Plays just like jun), and Raven (Black ninja, looks like blade and is the mix up KING) are all well balanced. Im having a blast playing it, i cant wait for the PS2 version to come out.

Yeah this game if phat aaight.... but the problem with this game is that....ITS THE SAME AS THE OTHERS!!!....they need to create a lot more graphics....here was a tornument at the Arcade at the mall near my house....it was sick...there was a huge line of people going to play it because i jst came the day before everyone came in....THERE WAS A LINE FROM THE ARCADE TO THE FRONT DOOR OF THE MALL....it was insane!!!!!

lol you have nooooo idea what you're talking about, Steve and Nina are God tier in that fucking game. Theres no way around them unless the player themself mess up. Or even if they mess up, they can still kill you. Thats how much BS Bryan, Steve, Nina, Feng, and Raven are. lol Whats funny is that in Japan/Korea (i forgot) BANNED Raven from tourneys hahah cuz hes CHEESY! Wall infinite my ass... and they might ban Nina too, cuz her ground pounding comboes are almost unavoidable. T5=BROKENNNNN

hehe again, DJ wasn't in TTT. He PLAYS like Jin, but its not him. And as for those 3, THEY ARN'T balanced. lol maybe against each other they are, but against everyone else, uh uh. Game gets boring when you see Top Tiers left and right, ugh.
