I just had to make a thread about SSBB (Super Smash Brothers Brawl) for Wii. :gator:
My bf and I got it yesterday and it's amazing. We are doing the "campaign"!
Co-op has never been so much fun, and somewhat a little challenging! I am learning a lot and thanks to this game I am getting so much better! And there is 4 ways to play. You can use, the Wiimote, the Gamecube controller, the Wiimote with Nunchuk, and the classic controller.
I stuck with the gamecube controller because I am used to those controls. Man this game is so much fun. If you do not own it and a your friend does, steal it, become his/her best friend!!
The cut scenes are hilarious, and the music is amazing. Nothing like it!
I am very sorry for geeking out, but those of you who got it or loved SSBM you understand! <3
So... Discuss.. Lol. ;)

yeah I picked up the game yesterday after work. Only played for about an hour yesterday. I'm starting to get into it today. I suck pretty badly, and keep falling off the screen. It's a really cool game, and the graphics are amazing.

edit: now 2 hours 16 minutes into Adventure mode. 20% complete. It's actually worth playing this time. No longer falling off the platforms :) .

I have it too! It's my first Smash Bros game and I'm kind of bad at it. ^_^; I mean self-destruct-because I don't know which of my moves fling me across the screen bad. But I'm having fun with it! I'll post my friend code later.

It just takes practice. I was AWFUL at melee. But playing through the campaign really helped to improve my skillz. My flaw in melee was the whole up and b to come back instead of just falling down to your fiery death. But I did it soooooo much, it became just natural to do!

Unfortunately I don't have a Wii, so I can only play with my friends. So far, I would say it's a good update to Melee. I'm disappointed that wave-dashing was removed; I thought it was a valuable skill that added some depth to the game. Also, I'm a huge fan of Ness, he was my main, and they removed his second jump cancel, which weakens his offense considerably. I like the new characters a lot, though I'm still yet to do a lot of exploration. Lucas is a great alternate to Ness. They are very similar and yet play very differently.
I wish they could have added some better balance to the game. It's pretty apparent that the low-tier characters, like Ness, have not been upped enough to make them equal with obvious top tiers like Fox and Falco. I also think they over-nerfed Peach. On the other hand, they definitely made Game and Watch a LOT better.
Obviously this is coming after a fairly small amount of gametime, so these are really just initial impressions.

Yeah G+W is significantly better :)
I wish Jigglypuff wasn't nerphed so much >< and his final smash sucks. It's way to ez to avoid.
lol, i love G+W's octosquid thing.
And wow, bowser is playable (not really against high tier characters like shiek, lucas, or marth, but besides those).
Recently i've been trying out the Pikmin guy, he's better than I thought, weird to get used to. (he has incredible range with all his attacks).
In melee i use to use shiek/jiggles/pikachu/gannodorf
In brawl i use shiek/pikmin/g+w/lucario
(gannondorf was nerphed too much for brawl, he's slower than bowser ><)
Awesome Game, I love all the new stuff they added. Picking songs per level and being able to make your own levels is great!!!

Totally agree. It's definitely a great game. I've picked King Dedede as my main, basically. I want to play some more as Lucas though. Hopefully I can spend a weekend with my friends just testing out the characters. Snake is a really interesting character; his moves don't follow the traditional set that most characters fall into, which I thinks makes adjusting to home more difficult than any other character.

Yes, one thing I love with the game is the effort they made to keep characters different. Like Lucas is similar to Ness, yet plays completely differently. I love how Dedede can throw little minions at you!!

Still sad that they nerfed Jigglypuff. Rest was just awesomely funny and rollout was her only decent move. Why destroy both and keep her in the game?
Landmastuuuuur is a tad bit pathetique. Takes no skill to use, unlike Pikachu's final.
Loving Brawl though. Love. Still missing tons of characters though. Let's get an MvC sized roster going here, Nintendo.
