Japan will be getting a new update for IDAS4 tentatively scheduled to release internationally February 2008.
They are currently beta testing the new version in various testing spots in Japan.
It also seems that the mechanics of the game will be altered slightly which signals a possible Internet Ranking wipe.
They are also adding 3 new cars:
- Altezza RS200 Z-Edition （SXE10)
- RX-8 Type S （SE3P)
- Mazda Miata (NA6CE)
There will also be other modifications including slight aesthetic modifications in-game and possible on the cabinet. Changes to the cards will be made (possibly new cards entirely. There has been nothing said about transferring data yet up it's likely that old data will be transferred if this is the case).
OST can be manually selected. :D
Particles like dirt, smoke, and rain have been adjusted such as more tire/dirt smoke and more spray from rain including splash onto the 'windshield' of the trailing car.
More exaggerated sparks when hitting the walls and less between cars (I think).
PC has been taken out. (I'm very happy about this)
