So I've been trying to learn on my own...I am making very slow progress. I just got 2 awesome gifts that will help me out. I got the Pimsleur 8 disk set, and also a learn how to read and write japanese book. SUGIO! :gator:

I understand the first part...not so sure about the second. I went to TGA today and i said "watashi wa nihon go ga sukoshi wakarimasu demo mada jozu ja arimasen" and also "ja mata" Its nice to try to speak japanese with people who know the language...I hope to come back with more things to say.
Also Andy looked at the book my sister got me...he said it was good. I'm still working on writing 1-10...Its a work in progress ^_^

i just started studying again last night (i study by reading BLEACH manga i get at conventions, and the complete set of BATTLE ROYALE manga andy got me in Japan.) I work best by jumping right into something, findout ouut what works and what doesnt, and go from there. I have been neglecting my Japanese for about a year, due to taking Spanish at school. (i am SO done with that language)

you know what is weird, when i first stred studying japanese I was remembering my old french and spanish lessions too.

I got a new book in, its a remeber how to draw your katakana and hiragana

the hand that looks like a hook means shoplift, and the "bunny ears" are to be mad/angry, and the holing the nose up like a pigs snout is to call someone ugly...its a very interesting book it tells the origins, it has insults too. :p

just picked up the living language complete japanese language set. It has 3 cd's, a work book, a japanese/english dictonary, and a pocket size phrase book. It was $24, my mom has a barnes and nobles member ship, so then it was $21, I had a gift card from my birthday so I only paid $10.60... sugoi!

I also just found a comic store in Manchester NH that has monthly japanese language meetings...sugoi!!!!!
