Well, by seeing the sheer number of posts about the new arcade let me clear a few things up about the automatic membership upgrades. :)
Members start out as "Lite Members". For Lite Members, avatar uploading is locked, and the arcade is locked as well. When a member reaches 25 posts, there is an automatic script that operates at the top of the hour to upgrade any Lite Members to Standard Members. Standard Members can upload avatars, play in the arcade and are given a larger PM mailbox. Above Standard is Advanced, and as of yet, only one regular member has gotten to that point - so I will explain the expanded benefits of Advanced Members when the time comes.
Not only does being active in the forums grant you access to forum events and functions, but in the future, Advanced, Maniac, Extreme, and Ultra members will get special privileges at events. :)
NOTE: If you hit 25 posts, please wait until the bottom of the hour (the script runs at :25 of every hour) to get upgraded, do not complain. Also, I've seen some "postwhoring" going on in some of the threads, this will be dealt more seriously in the future, so don't cross the line.
