View Full Version : Initial D Arcade Stage 4 - new videos and updates!

The second phase of testing for Initial D Arcade Stage 4 has ended. There have been COUNTLESS new features added to the game, too much to list here.

Anyways, in the second phase of testing, 2 new courses have been added to bring the total up to 6 - Akina Lake(new), Myogi, Akagi, Akina, Irohazaka, and the home course of Purple Shadow(new - name escapes me). Also, 1 new car has been added to the roster - the Lancer Evolution IX. They should also add the other courses from v3, if they do that brings the total up to 10 courses, assuming they don't add any others.

Clip 1 and Clip 2 are videos of Irohazaka, I believe the 3rd clip is video of the Purple Shadow's home course.

I can't wait for this to come out in the US :D Scheduled release date is November 2007 though :(

November 2007? Yikes!!!! I thought it was coming out sooner than that, since it's on the "coming soon to TGA" board. It's IDAS4 that we're getting, right?

oh erik... it's arcade deicabs atm... (kinda like supernova) no upgrades kits annouced yet...

besides the slot are different along with the screen and layout...

Ya, Nov 2007 is the English release date as of now, but I'm skeptical. Japanese version is being released in Feb 2007, I can't see ANY reason that it would take 10 months to translate a racing game(its takin roughly 3 months for previous versions). Especially when you consider that the summer is probably the best time to release an arcade game, when kids are out of school and what not.

well it dosent man... but they do that to see how the game works out on its release... ie, community, does it sell well, lawsuits etc...

and we always get the short end of the stick... welcome to the gaming world... (god they hate europe)

They will likely be doing a little more than simply translating it. Due to the fact that the United States is a little more touchy about things like smoking than Japan is, they keep going into all of the games and removing the cigarettes from Keisuke and Bunta's hands/mouths.

I was just dropping by to see how everyone's doing...and to also check up the updates on IDASV4.
