I had my copy reserved right after I played the demo.. From what I heard in this FF you get to customize your party's AI so you don't have to do much in battle(this function goes by the name "gambits") except move around and enjoy instant victory... Only 11 days from now until the release and I'm playing the demo for almost the dozenth time :mouse:

I'm planning on trying this one out. I have been a big fan of the FF series and this new installment has definite potential to it. According to gameranking.com it has a 92% average ratio. Must be a good one.

I've actually played the game, and even though I had some negative thoughts on the gambit system, you don't have to use it if you dont want to. =) I think I'mma buy it, mainly because of how different the battle system is compared to other FF games. I was getting really tired of ATB, etc.

So you mean to say you can just turn of these so-called 'gambit' system? I think it's not fair if you just let the console fight for you in the battle sequences, part of the fun in gaming is the ability to strategize and execute your moves to win.

I can see when it's useful, like when you're grinding for items/gil or when you just dont feel like fighting through an area you've been through before. But I still like the fact you can input all character commands manually. I was worried the game was going to play itself.
