Expert songs between 9 - 11 will be allowed from the beginning until semi finals, at which point any expert song may be chosen. 12s and 13s may be played in earlier rounds based on mutual agreement of the players.

No disqualifying modifiers may be chosen, anything else is fair game.

Failure of your song choice will result in a match loss.

Winners will be based on percentage.

ITG2 Expert Singles
Winners will be based on percentage.

DDR: Supernova Singles Heavy
Winners will be based on EX score: Perfects - 2, Greats - 1, Freeze OKs - 6, all else - 0
I'm not trying to argue, I think this a legit mistake with your information. OKs are worth 2 points, not 6. And in SN your score is also your percentage. (And both are equivilent! Because it's a percentage of your expert score!)

So you can use percentage for both games!

Official DDR EX+ Scoring

A "Perfect" is also worth 2 points
A "Great" is worth 1 points
A "Good" is worth 0 points
A "Boo" will subtract 4 points
A "Miss" will subtract 8 points
An "OK" (Successful Freeze step) will add 6 points
A "NG" (Unsuccessful Freeze step) is worth 0 points

The way SN values steps and freezes as I stated in the beginning is accurate, as far as I know, my source being this article. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dance_Dance_Revolution_SuperNOVA) I am aware that wikis are publicly contributed info and can therefore be flawed, so if there is an official source that claims differently, I'll use that as a score basis.

As far as the percentage thing goes... yeah, you're right, haha. We had a big conversation regarding that whole process as well and it slipped my mind. Either way, it's good I think to detail how the machine is scoring you for SN anyway, since it's not so glaringly obvious as ITG's score display. We also all know how people feel about rating by DDR money scores (even if they are correct now :> ), so you know... just to ease our collective minds, I'm just gonna leave it that way.

Wish it was Extreme as opposed to Supernova. I can't play that game long enough to learn any of the new songs :(

well man with enough due time you will... its time for change (and not hearing graduation as soon as i got in) im sure in a while it'll be a normal commodity at arcades as much as extreme is now... it just will take time...

Yes!!!! I'm so glad I'm not the only person who doesn't like Extreme. It was fun for a while, but really, that game is getting old, and you can find it anywhere (Roll On America while it's still open, Academy Games, Acton Bowladrome, TGA :p ). Fifth mix has, and always will be my favorite, but I have taken a STRONG liking to Supernova. Give it a chance. That game kicks ass! I'm learning doubles on it and it's fun.

If you pay the $25 flat rate do you need to pay to enter the tournaments also?

EDIT: I will be at TGA from Friday till Sunday :D

(Roll On America while it's still open, Academy Games, Acton Bowladrome, TGA :p)
Acton Bowladrome = gone as of about two years ago. Their 4th+ solo went to TJ's Collectables in Milford. Previously though they were a very good place to play DDR, especially once they got the second machine. Towards the end of it all they were rotating 4th+ solo, a legit DDR MAX, unupgraded, with memory card slots, and a MAX2/Extreme, also with slots. They were also the first in Massachusetts to get 5th, 7th, and Extreme. (By a large margin.) And they did maintance. And they had a B.A.M.F! But that was all before TGA even opened in Woonsocket.

Obligatory 24-hour bump. :) I'll play SN tomorrow. I'd play ITG2 but I don't know a third of the songs and I figure all of the ITG players with the stamina and teh 12s will stick to ITG since they can't figure out SN's timing. That'll give me a fighting chance at SN.

Participating in two simultaneous dance events seems like a bad idea to me anyway. I can pay $30 to play SN, SN, IIDX, and IIDX; or, I can pay $35 to play SN, SN, ITG, and ITG. Seems like a no-brainer since I'd be dead tired in towards the end, anyway. (If you don't like IIDX, then the new V3 instead. Or Espagluda however you spell it.)
