I dunno..I wanted some place to talk about our good times at TGA. Last night was by far one of the greatest times I had there. I got there around 3 and then right after me TJ, Juggs, G-Man, Amanda, Clay, Andy and his wife, and some other people I didn't know.
Played lots of games, getting so much better at DMX...go me !!! Around 8 some of us left to go get some awesome chinese food. We talked about old tv shows like "are you afraid of the dark" and "goosbumps" also books, just think of the good old days, it was grand !!
Went back and just played and had a good time, ate some pocky too ^_^ I attempted to do a para para dance...but I sucked. Thanks Andy for having such an awesome arcade !!!

Hate to say something bad about the arcade, but I'm used to tighter optical sticks than the loose Japanese cabinet sticks. Doesn't really affect CvS too much, but MvC goes about 100 mph and one missed air dash is backbreaking

Yeah, yesterday was incredibly busy. It was like re-opening day all over again. Beatmania was screwing up all over the place, I got a whole 1 game in on that machine, on 2p side, which I can't play on. I was all sorts of messed up on 2p side. I kept losing my turn because of overheating. With all those fans, it's amazing the thing is still overheating. I hope it's gonna be ok.

Learned how to play Pop'n. I can pass songs up to level 13 on 9 button, or 20 I think on 5 button. That game's interesting, and incredibly addicting. Now if I could pass songs in Drummania and Guitar Freaks on something other than beginner, I would know how to play every game at TGA.

I'll be going again on Friday, since it's less crowded, and I have the day off for no reason. I gotta play Super Puzzle Fighter again. Brings back good memories of getting my butt handed to me by the asian kids at U-Lowell.

I haven't near a computer since friday !!! Ok...so saturday...my favorite day of the week. I go to TGA I see all the cool kids!! g-man, and andy, leon, anthony, and genki. I watched all of the fighters...I wouldn't llast a min. playing any of them.
Iplayed mostly ddr and dmx...I got really hungry and shaky around 5...so I had to rush to mcdonalds and get something to eat...that or pass out.
I just had a fun time...oh and of course I got to see my hero...gavin. :D saturdays rock...I keep bringing art in too...I can't wait for everyone to see my pictures in the lounge

This past Saturday was fun. I only spent like $10 on games, and only stayed there for like 3 1/2 hours, but it was still cool. I played Brie in Dmx, and got my butt kicked, and I played Guitar Freaks, and actually passed songs. I went from failing every song to passing songs in the 20's. I can play Panasonic Youth now on Basic. Woohoo!

I definitely have to bowl at least once when I'm there. It's funny, everyone I bowl with says the pins make a lot of noise when I get a strike. I throw the ball between 18 and 20mph so that's probably why.

I'm spending the day there on Wednesday, and will most likely spend part of Friday, and part of Saturday before work up there.

Today was fun. I went up there for a little while, since I don't go to dinner until 6:00. I dragged my brother with me. He played IIDX for the first time, 5 key, for a . I played 4 games of IIDX, passed Mei on Normal and played Linus for the first time, which I also passed. I'm still improving, and feeling more comfortable on the IIDX machine.

Kind of a double post, but it's a new day, and I have pics of the new machine.

Today I got to play a few games of DDR, 3 games of IIDX, and a game of Dmx with Brie. I met up with someone I knew from many, many years ago. My mom used to babysit him when he was like 6 years old. He's one of the Winchendon local kids. It took a while, but he finally remembered me.

I got to see the new room where all the fighting games will go, as well as the lounge area, when it's complete. There's a lot more space than I thought back there. This will nearly double the arcade space that TGA has.

I also got to pick up 6th style, which I've been playing since I got home, and I LOVE it. So many good songs on this one.

Here are some pics that I took of the Tekken 5 machine. The card readers weren't put in yet, but the game was in the candy cab, and people were playing it.

Went down on saturday...of course. Hung out, drew some pictures, took some cool emo band pictures with kiba, lissa, tj...its fun to hang out in the playground at night !!!
Well I finally beat rythem and police...how many years did it take !?!?!? Only 4...plus I didn't try that often too ^_^ Played a lot of DMX...and at the end of the night I played almost 2 hrs of nonstop ddr !!! Oh and I played puzzle fighter...I beat paul, ha ha !!! Well I got my computer to work again...wee !! I went to TGA on Saturday, as always. Hung out with Todd, boo to him for living in Michigan !!! Any who had fun, played a lot of DDR,DMX and PUZZLE FIGHTER!!!!! G-Man showed up, as did my hero...Gavin !!!!! :D
Got some sweet chinese food, good times, showed off my new pictures that I made...and at the end of the night had a fun chat with everyone...seee ya next saturday ^_^

Went up Sunday with my brother. Didn't spend much time there. Played 5 games of IIDX, 3 games of Pop'n, and 1 game of DDR Forever. Wednesday was better. I played SOOO much IIDX, since I had the game room to myself after 9:00 PM. I passed a lot of songs I hadn't before. I passed Xepher, Little Little Princess, Bloody Tears, Ore Wa Beatmania, and So Fabulous!! I'm starting to move into 6* songs. This isn't going to be easy. I've come close to passing Twelfth Style. I die at the end.

I'm going up there this Saturday, if not before. I plan to take off a random Saturday, and spend the whole day up there. The people who go on Saturdays are really cool.

There's a Wendy's about 10 minutes from TGA in Gardner. It's right next to a KFC. It's off of Exit 23 on Route 2. That's the way I take up to TGA which seems to cut off a few minutes of travel time.

So, yesterday was an incredibly fun day at TGA. I played a ton of Para (which I'm actually trying to do correctly), and lots and lots of DDR Doubles on 5th mix and Supernova. I LOVE 5th mix. Please keep 5th mix on Fridays. 5th mix Fridays would be sweet! It's WAY better than Extreme.

I played like 10 games of IIDX. I passed Pollinosis on Hyper multiple times :D. I'm getting closer to passing Waxing and Wanding. My favorite songs are now Wish, and We are Dis???????????? . It was a good day.

Bowling was fun too. The team we bowled against was cool, and they were easy to talk to. I think this league will be ok :) .

TGA once again! I had (once again) a great time. It was busy again, they had a b-day party going on. Brutal Brandon was there, played a few rounds of Mr. Driller and some GF,that was cool.
I played a lot of DDR, and had a lot of fun with PPP...got a pizza and just had a good time. I really need to try the rice and curry...it smelled so good..yum.

I have gone to TGA 3 times hopefully 4 this weekend. I love that place so much, it is heaven to me I am always happy never bored or unhappy that was redundent, but hey look above me at the TRIPLE post. I went on a Sunday most recently like about a month ago, it was SO much fun, Andy told me it was gonna be dead because it was Sunday but I still had a great time it was like 5-6 of us all day start to end and a few other random people poppin in. I tried my hands at BeatMania which I suck at but I love to death. I also had a DDR battle thingy with this cool guy that I can't remember the name of. I lost pretty bad, it was kinda pathetic...

I swear I have gone up to Andy and said I love this arcade you got here, like 20 times. Yeah I also beat the weird game with the fairies and the shooting, I dunno what it is called, me and my friend dumped a whole pocket of coins in to beat that game. I went undefeated in MvC I did not lose a single match all day, a mix of random people and people who are better at like SF 3s that I begged to play

Well I hope to go back again soon because I love this arcade :)

woo a final return to TGA yesterday. I've been working 6 days for about a month now and I finally got a saturday off...ahhh it was good to be back. Ishbo was there, and it was great to see her. I saw Craig, Andrew, Alan, and Eric.
I played so much ddr, it was a little hard to do because my left knee has been bothering me lately...but I survived. I got Ishbo a bowl of rice...we spanish folk love rice too ;)
I found out Gavin was in China....he didn't even tell me he was going! Talked to Andy about Japanese stuff, language and such. Played a few songs off of my mp3 player too.
All in all it was another great time @ TGA.I can't wait to go back again. Oh and I like the new coins, I still think Andy's face should have been on them.

I went to TGA for the first time this Saturday. I went mainly for the fighting games. It was amazing though. I loved the place. It was much better than I thought it was going to be. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was awesome. I didn't talk to many people, but the couple kids I played in 3rd Strike were friendly.

I hope to go back soon. And maybe I'll try my hand at the Bemani game and bowling. :D

Went to TGA yesterday...shocking :bunny: . It was awesome as usual. I got to play IIDX a bunch of times. I got to see Clay again as a customer for the first time in months. I bowled 3 games, scores were meh. I played through Espgaluda for the first time ever. That game used up half a coin pouch :) . Drummania skills are starting to improve, and there's still hope for Pop'n. I still haven't figured out how to do scales though (ie. Moon [H]). I still have no idea who showed up yesterday. They weren't the normal flat rate people.

I had the pizza bites...man those are good! Played puzzle fighter, a ton of DDR,andd even some ITG...never really played it. ALSO!!! i beat Gavin @ Tekken not once...but TWICE (yeah it took me like a million times but I still beat him!)
Andy had a cool hat, good times had by all. It was really hot in there but other than that I had an awesome...I hope to return soon...and I can't wait for BMF!!!! :D

Friday was awesome. There were only 2 IIDX players there, myself and Steve from Methuen (I don't know if he posts on here). Played lots of Gold and DistorteD. I even played Shamisen Brothers. Wow is that game fun. There's not a lot of songs on there, and the sensor is....well....interesting, but the game is cool. I played 10 credits of that, and probably played Dancing Pompokolin (sp?) like 8 times. The intro song of that game is really fun to play. It's a 5 on jingle bell level.

I also tried Zarusoba for the first time. It's definitely my favorite of the two new summer menu items.

Man, TGA was awesome. I wasn't sure what to expect in the beginning, but I got everything I wanted and more. TGA Staff, you're awesome; everything a customer could want. Now I understand why people travel OVER NINE-THOUSAND miles to visit TGA. Honestly, I dont think I've ever felt so at home, a, out of state and, b, in an arcade. Everyone was so respectable, kind, and willing to do whatever it takes to make one's experience awesome. Keep up the good work, TGA. You are all stellar. You can certainly expect to see me next year! Warning. Long ass Catastrophe style post.

OMG!!! This years Bowlmanifest was awesome! I was a little nervous at first about spending 5 days at TGA with about 100 other flat rates each day. I thought that there would be no chance that I could play anything there, and that I would get bored and leave the building a lot. Nothing could be further from the truth. I did most of my game playing Wednesday and Thursday, leaving Friday - Sunday open to meeting people, chatting, and enjoying the concerts and whatnot.

Seriously, the people who came to Bowlmanifest were awesome. When the power went out on Wednesday, no one bitched, everyone just broke out their PSP's, laptops, and DS'. The room was basically lit up by LCD screens. I wish I had a picture. I got to play Javier in Initial D Street Stage, which was so much fun. I've never used the LAN feature on my PSP, so that was awesome. The giant game of UNO during the blackout was amazing.

Thursday was cool. I played in the Wii Bowling tournament, and had a great time. I was so happy that I got to participate in that, since I missed it the last time and was extremely pissed about it. We must do Wii Bowling again and again and again.

Friday I played in the IIDX tournament. I did it only because Aaron told me to, jk. I got dead last. Tora beat me by 100 points. I REALLY need to play more anothers.

I met the VA (Virginia) crew on Friday. They are an AWESOME group of people. I hope to see all of them again soon! I spent most of Bowlmanifest hanging out with Jared, and hope that he can make a trip out here again before the end of the summer. He's one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

I loved the Cosimo and Co. concert. Melody and Mezzo were freakin' awesome! I don't know if I can mention the name of a certain song on the boards, but that song was amazing. Getting to spend some time with Mezzo and his crew at the end of Friday night was cool.

Saturday rocked so hard. I bought a Roots 26 t-shirt. I had numerous action shots taken that day. I hung out with Super Steve adn RSP most of the day. I played Brie in Tekken 5. I finally remember how to play that game, and was kicking Brie's ass all over the place with half the characters on the game. If I ever start playing a game competitively, it will be that game. I also signed a KOC and Spork!

The Kors K concert was WOW! I had no idea. really. All I knew is that I had to be there since I missed it last year and everyone loved it. I screamed a lot during that concert, and did as much as I could to make Kors K know that I was having a great time. During the signing I got my 4th style and Happyyyyyyy Sky signed, along with the ASC, which was signed by both Kors K and Rie. I have pics, but I won't post them here since this post is epic in itself.

Sunday was my chill day. I played 2 games on Gold, and 4 games on Distorted with Jared. I still suck at right side, and I need to play more. I'm only good at one-handing 5 star songs on right side, and clearing With You [A] non-autoscratch for some reason. I bowled with the VA crew, Kaze and Kaze's friend who's name I do not know. I also played Diekatze88 in Puzzle Fighter and lost horribly. Stupid drops weren't coming fast enough.

I met up with so many awesome people this weekend, and saw some of the most retarded and funny stuff I've ever seen. That's TGA for ya!

Oh man, Bowlmani Festival this year was amazing. Unfortunately, I was only able to go on Saturday due to my demanding work schedule.

I had a blast. I played a few games of Gold and Distorted, Some Drummania, Street Fighter III with LittleViking (I suck at SF3 btw) and even got some Beatmania The Final in there too. The concert was beyond words. It was epic. Can't wait until the pictures are put up! I bought the Roots26 Tshirt, and had my ASC signed by KorsK and Rie.

Everything ROCKED. I wish I could make this post even more detailed but I am unbelievably tired.

So to answer the question "DID YOU HAVE FUN?"

I certainly did have a good time there. This was my second year there and this was EVEN better then last year, despite that Ryu* couldn't have made it. :crybaby:

The turnout was better this year, with more people showing up and getting a chance to enjoy what we all helped make happen.

The concert was even better, especially with Sherl0k doing the crowd surfing, the Jaeger helmet being handed off to the people up front as well as with Kors k putting it on, Rie's singing debut, Kors k's singing debut as well.

Overall, I had a LOT of fun and I'm already looking forward to the next year's Bowlmanifest.

p.s, Andy, good luck with your business trip to Japan. I hope everything works out there.

Well, yesterday was productive. Played IIDX exclusively, mostly on Gold (like 80 - 85%). I managed to clear 8 new 10's on top of the 2 I have cleared in the past.

Yeah, I really don't want a bricked Gold machine. It just sucks that there's so many things we can't access. Well, yesterday was fun. I played lots of Pop'n and IIDX. Played lots of Fever since the new old machine nice and LOUD. I got extra stage once on that machine, but couldn't replicate it after, damn. IIDX sucked, couldn't pass anything new, failed a lot of stuff I usually clear. I played Nintendo, cleared SMB 1, sucked at SMB 2, and forgot to play SMB 3.

Four bowlers came up from Gardner (the bowling mafia, they AAA bowling A LOT), talked to them for a little bit. Rumor: possible Sport Shot League at my TGA, yes please! Andy would "Make it Bowling money".

Tonight was Mike's (meanderfox) last night at TGA for a while, since he's moving to Pennsylvania. He will be missed. It was great spending time with Mike, Morris, Javier, and Javier's friend (I still don't know his name).

Went to TGA both Friday and Saturday. Had lots of fun both days, kinda like a mini BMF for me. Friday I played lots of Pop'n, ITG2, and DDR. I cleared Canal Grande on Hyper for the first time as well as Pop'n Christmas 2004 on Hyper (31). No new clears on IIDX, only played a few times. Kinda laying off IIDX for a while until TGA gets a new game :( (Thanks again Betson).

Saturday was awesome. I saw many people I haven't seen in months. I had a great time. I brought Keyboardmania 1+2 :bunny: and Martial Beat 1+2 with me. Got to see about 6 or 7 people try Keyboardmania. It seemed like everyone including myself had trouble reading on the big screen. I couldn't even clear Journey to the Wonderland on Real. I may have to adjust the Keyboard width in the options, as I don't have a widescreen tv at home, but I have played on the 52" 4:3 Projection without problems.

I watched about 5 people try out Martial Beat on Saturday. It was cool seeing other people play that game. It's a hard game to follow, as the instructor's moves are mirrored, and he/she is turning from one side to another all the time. You'll think you have to punch with your left hand, since the instructor is turned to the left punching with his left, but you then realize you were supposed to punch with your right hand. The sensors are also rediculous sensitive, so a few of us, including myself, would cancel out to the main menu after finishing a song, since the left foot acts as the X button, and right foot acts as O. I will also bring this game with me on Friday, as I have yet to show Andy this game. I may bring up some other rare games, like Bust a Groove 1+2, and Quest for Fame if that comes in week.

After watching people play my games :) and playing a few rounds myself, I played lots of Drummania. I found myself getting a lot better at the game, and went from clearing level 35-40 songs to clearing songs in the range of 40-45. I think I'll be able to clear Brazillian Anthem this weekend, which is a 46. I did fail Panasonic Youth (Advanced), but I plan on clearing this song as well. I need to work on my bass pedal technique, since I have a tendency to hit the bass pedal at the same time as the snare for some reason. I also need to work on reading the red lane better since I have a tendency to miss notes unless I've already memorized their location.

So, did I have fun? YES!

I'm very happy that I got to see everyone, play lots of games, and I could see others play some lesser known music games.

Had an awesome day yesterday. I played LOTS of Wangan, and lots of 14-key IIDX. Right now Wangan is my favorite game at TGA. I'm now on my second card on Wangan, I've cleared up through the 57th chapter in Story mode. I've driven 1265km and my car is at 720hp. Ooh, I now have the coolest title on Wangan. It's "Toilet on the left up the stairs".

I cleared more 7* songs on 14-key IIDX. One of them was Under the Sky. I can't remember the other ones. I was able to keep up with Zenius-I-Vanisher, an 8, but only had about 60% groove gauge at the end.

Did I have fun? Yes. TGA wasn't very busy since the Winchendon School was out for vacation, so no waiting on the racing games.

Last night, I had a lot of fun. I played lots of Pop'n. The only new clear was SPICY PIECE (Ryu☆ Remix) Hyper. I think I've cleared Microwave Popcorn Hyper and Nightmare Carousel Hyper before. Cleared the Votum Stellarum Remix Hyper about 1469593 times last night. Didn't play too much IIDX, maybe 7 or 8 games.

The real reason I was there.... I wanted to learn Street Fighter 4. Those cabinets...are BEAUTIFUL!!! I wish I would have brought my camera, because they are that nice. I played SF4 for about half the time I was there. There was no one in the fighting game room, which was good. I haven't really learned a Street Fighter game since World Warrior back in 92, so I SUCKED. I'm glad no one was there since I wanted to play through Arcade Mode and get a feel for the game. I spent an hour just trying to kill the last Boss, Seth. I gave up since I was getting nowhere, and losing with the same amount on Seth's life bar every time.

I tried all the old characters out, since I kinda know them and most of their moves. I like the whole Super and Ultra combo thing. They're kinda hard to pull off, but I'll learn it. If I can learn 14-key IIDX and Keyboardmania, I can learn this. I use Chun-Li for the most part, because that's who I've always used. Andy helped me out after TGA closed, and taught me some of the combos for Chun-Li. I learned a lot about the game from him. I will continue to practice and learn more about the game as time goes on. There's still a lot of things that I don't know, like the frame counting thing, and about a hundred other fighting game terminology that I've heard or read but don't fully understand. I don't want to look like an idiot and make dumb mistakes when I play against people, so I must learn. I don't see myself ever joining the fighting game community, but I'll be glad to play people for fun.

So yeah, that was my night. It was fun. It was worth the $15 for 4 hours. I will definitely be going back next Monday for more SF4, Pop'n, and maybe Max Tune this time. I'll be back on Saturday for 6 1/2 hours. Prolly won't be playing SF4 though. Long lines + Me = :mad:

The real reason I was there.... I wanted to learn Street Fighter 4. Those cabinets...are BEAUTIFUL!!! I wish I would have brought my camera, because they are that nice. I played SF4 for about half the time I was there.

I haven't really learned a Street Fighter game since World Warrior back in 92, so I SUCKED. I'm glad no one was there since I wanted to play through Arcade Mode and get a feel for the game.

You beat me to it, I was going to you as a reference that people can have fun and appreciate the game AND DO WELL, if they spend a little time with it. As always, I and everyone else are always ready to help. I hope more people will take the time to try it out. So to anyone reading this: PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE THEM DON'T BE SHY.

I of course want to say, if you don't like the game or have no interest then of course you don't have to play. If you play Bemani and not fighters, I'll tell you why you should try. Bemani games require very, very strict timing. If you have good timing, then you can put that to good use in fighters. The same thing for you too fighting people, your timing is already on point, so you would do well in music games.

Yes, in Fighting games timing is very, very important. Just like Bemani games, execution is very important and has to be practiced to be able to pull of what you want when you need it. If you find you are really enjoying yourself, we will help you get a stick and some home versions.

Then, just pick a character, learn his (or her) moves, spend time in training mode to hone execution then just play people to get experience. If you don't win, no biggie, have fun. Nobody is going to insult you if you lose, they will respect you for trying.

If you do win, GREAT! Learn what you did right and win more! But what you will find is that you will be having fun with people you never met or talked to and you will appreciate why the good fighters are good, you will learn to appreciate a good combo, when you see one.

Oh and btw Erik, you actually did really good, you picked up very quickly and could tell you knew the basics. But since you are a humble guy, I'll tell everyone you did good :)

Went last Saturday and had a blast! Aside from the heavy rain, which was still ok because we got to hang out for another hour, got to session some GF/DM, play some Pop'n, and play the original course in IIDX. Everyone should play that by the way, the songs are amazing and you might win some free food!

Yesterday at 1:08PM I get a random text message on my cellphone which read "Hey you come to TGA, me and Sarah are here, and I got my birthday flat rate." I see that the text came from Mike S and I was like ok, I haven't seen him in a while, and I was looking for something to do this afternoon anyway. I finished making lunch, ate, washed up, then left at 1:40.

At 2:00 I made it to TGA, where I was welcomed by Andy, Mike, Sarah, and Soma who was having too much fun with the microphone. Honestly, one should never give that guy a mic :) . I talked to Mike and Sarah for a little bit, then made my way into the game room.

I didn't play much of anything except Pop'n yesterday. It was more of a social visit. I wasn't even going to do a flat rate until I got there. I thought it would be nice to support Andy even though I knew I would do flat rate on Monday night. It's a good thing I did do flat rate.

At about 3:00PM, I saw that the ITG machine had no one playing. I was like "AWESOME, I want to play." Played one game no problems. Second game first song, I started playing the first song, and I hear this God awful loud pop sound. I didn't know what I had done, but the up arrow felt a little funny. I was like "Uh, oh". After I finished the song I looked down, and realized that I had just cracked the 1st player "UP" arrow in half. I showed Mike, and we lolled at what I had done. I told Andy that I had broken the arrow, and he went searching for a new arrow, but there weren't any spares. Now anyone who goes to TGA this week can blame me for breaking the up arrow on ITG. I'm sorry :( . I was glad I did flat rate, since I managed to cause property damage within the first hour. Go me!!!

After busting the ITG machine, I got to meet Nate from MMG. It was his Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! He was cool. I told him I'd let him use my USB drive, but for some reason I noticed that it wasn't working on ITG's 2P side. Ahh, well. The thought was there.

I spent the rest of my time playing Pop'n Fever for the most part. I passed Votum Stellarum Hyper FINALLY which is another 35, and I got the clear on ffff Hyper, which I had never managed on Fever for some reason. Those were the only new clears, but progress still. Only played one game of IIDX doubles, a game of Para, a game on 5th mix, and a few games of Pump. I played a few games of drummania, and I find that I keep getting worse instead of better. Whatever.

6:00 comes around, and it's time for Karaoke. Being a fan of watching other people embarrass themselves in good fun, I decided to watch. Everyone was good. I was like "wow, Bemani players can sing???" Andy's Zoot Suit Riot was amazing. I really didn't want to sing, but right as I was about to turn in my coin pouch at 7:00 I saw Ashley, and she asked me if I wanted to sing Crazy Loop with her. I knew I had sung that song in the car like a million times, but I thought singing it in front of people would be REALLY fun. The song sounds like crap anyway, so no matter how badly we suck, it couldn't be any worse than the original. 7:20 we sing, I realize that song KILLS my voice, since it's SOOOO high. It felt like putting a torch to my vocal cords. Honestly Dan Balan, did you get punched in the nuts before you recorded that song :confused: ? Anyways, after singing with Ashley I watched a few more people sing, I lmao'd at Ishbo and Zak's Pokemon world, then I left because I had to work the overnight.

It was a really good day. I'm glad I got the random text message. I really hope we do this again. I'll be back tomorrow night for more TGA gaming excitement.
