hey everyone, hope everything is going o. Hope TGA is doing great as well....but what i really want to know is how u guyz are truly doing? and TGA as well....still in great business? tons of guests?

On April 1st TGA had to close unexpectedly because of flooding. I was in the middle of a game of Drummania when some guys who were renovating upstairs sledgehammered the plumbing. The building was basically destroyed after that but TGA didn't loose any property that day because of customers who ran around with buckets and because the Woonsocket FD showed up. (Thanks to them for shutting off the water and for having those tarps!) Since then Andy has found a new place surprisingly quickly and he's planning on reopening during the top of June. Only being closed for 8-9 weeks is pretty good considering that nobody could have predicted the accident on April 1st.

But before the power went out TGA was rockin, yes! They rocked all March too. :)

Holy crap there was a flood up in Woonsocket around TGA??!?!?
I hope everything and everyone in it was ok and safe by all means :(
But thats great that TGA is doing well and that its reopening soon but everyone sgunna miss the location of where it was before. Can't wait till the next visit to see how things are going :)

Well, also if I remember correctly, it wouldnt be the first time one of our machines got human waste on it >_< AMIRITE?

I don't believe there was any damage, and I'm sure that if anything...foreign got on the machine, it was cleaned and cleaned well. Come on, we're talking about TGA here! :gator:

Nah, DynamiteRich, it is a long story...I believe the posts about it are still in the archive. I'm not gonna try to explain it because I'm not sure I know the entire story.

Haha, I was kidding. I don't really know much about what happened, save that the place was flooded for one reason or another (most of what i know is from this thread). Oh well. Things happen.

It wasn't the flooding that got shit on the DDR machine. Some asian kids came over from GameZone (a shitty arcade that tried to step to tga) and one of them dropped a deuce in our bathroom. Upon exiting the bathroom, feces coated tissue in hand, they stuck it to one of the pads on the DDR machine and ran out. Andy then spent two hours, cleaning, disinfecting, and recleaning the machine. BEST CHRISTMAS EVER.

I actually think this happened less than two months before my time (IE, me attending TGA). Which makes me remember the first time I've been to TGA. Someone should resurrect/recreate the "first time to TGA stories" thread to show all the people who haven't come yet what they are missing out on.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea. Then again, I still haven't been to TGA. I'm coming for BemaniFest, though (Woot). I'd sure as hell post my "first time to TGA/my bemanifest experience" story.

hehe i have a feeling that the story that you are gunna make is gunna be one very good story for your "first experiece" at TGA hah. u better publish it too bc i will surly read it :)
