I know that some people are against the release of this game, but I honestly can't wait for it to come out. The main reason is because of the cheaper KOC bundled with the game and also because I personally think the game is going to be awesome for IIDX newbs such as myself. If anyone wants to comment about this, please do.

Eight words: 5 key that is not off-sync BS!
(What a concept! Even BM CM2 sucked, sorry.)

I think the 7-key mode is going to be alot of the same old stuff that I already have, maybe a few new songs. Just like DDR Konamix in 2001, actually. And I did like that game. :) But then again, I didn't own any Japanese DDR games at the time, either. And I do already have the entire IIDX library right here.

What I'm Interested In (in order):
1) The controller. Please be good.
2) 5 Key beatmania that looks and plays like IIDX so I can play the classics without cringing.
3) Last, whatever's new in 7 Key land, if anything. (Unless 7-key mode turns out to have all this new stuff. Then this gets promoted.)

I'm excited because now I can finally improve at the game without running the risk of screwing up by PS2 or buying a JPS2 which is way too much money.

It's coming out either tomorrow or sometime this week and I am so excited. I'll finally be able to play IIDX at home and practice my skills before I get 10th Style from Andy soon. Sure some 1337 players are probably gonna ignore this game, but I am gonna love playing with my spring loaded keys! :D

unlike many of the US DDR mixes this game has a good track listing going for it.. I'll probably pick it up... Lord knows I need to get addicted to twodix again. Laffo.

yeah, i heard the song list is actually good, which is surprising. ill probably get a copy of this. the interface to the game is pretty cool too.

lol, you have to read the review that IGN has given beatmania. the guy that reviewed this game basically complained on and on and on. well yeah, check out the review, you might laugh at what he says about the buttons on the controller. lol circles.

The games track list looks pretty decent but I hear the grading was turned WAY down from the JPS2 or IIDX mixes alot of us are used to.

Yeah like WTF? I was ripped when my friend told me about this review. Some people just don't know good games anymore. XDD

Well I've spent almost a solid week with it... I mean I've played import versions... and they defintly are better...

but man this version does not let down... a very solid, if not phenominal song list (except for stop violence... fuck that...) and the keyboard actually responds... *cough*yeaddr*cough*

but I can't figure out how to unlock another difficulty... i thought I did what I needed to do...

My bro got it, and I was impressed that they didn't mess it up (I know I know, pessimism, but it's always lingering in my mind).

One thing I found kinda funny was how much easier they made the grading. I've been getting AAAs like crazy on scores that should be low to mid AAs (not to say I haven't gotten any genuine AAAs :P). I was also laughing my ass off at the fact that Funkytown is there and the Celebration video is insane.

The controller is awesome. The buttons definitely don't have the "stickey key" syndrome, nor do they seem like they will any time soon. One thing thats a bit strange (at least when I was playing with the controller on my lap) was the rounded edge with the turntable. Since I'm so used to the completely rectangular controller base, the US one was kinda slipping around. I was able to adjust quickly, so it's not a big deal.

...whoa, I started doing a mini-review there. Oops.

Well, if some of you guys don't have the game and are deciding, I could give a full review if you'd like. ;)

Well scratch that, I remembered what anthony said yesterday and unlocked songs on another...

All you have to do is get a grade on every song (including IIDX and the beratmania side) even if its an E or F, it counts...

I can only beat two songs on another... alas... I am a nub...
