Anime Boston 2006

Aside from all the things going on this year like the Bemani Festival @ TGA and the Tougeki Super Battle Opera, who is going to Anime Boston this year? I will be going with my brother and two friends and i'll probably be cosplaying as Hatake Kakashi from Naruto. Comments for this thread would be most appreciated.

I'll be Rydia (FF4) on Saturday night for the Masq. and part of Friday and Ivy from Soul Calibur on Saturday during the day. If I'm in Cosplay Human Chess I'll be bringing back my Oscar costume from last year. I'm also thinking about doing another costume for possibly Friday morning. Either Saki-chan from Genshiken or school girl Rock Lee.

I'll probably be stuck in Artist's Alley most of the time so come visit me!

I forgot to mention earlier that this will be my first con ever and i'm still a little nervous but I know I can do this. Insane Bassist, I don't know much about Guilty Gear but I know who you are talking about. Between the choices of GG and Naruto characters, I would go for Naruto but it is still your decision. G-man, I would definitely like to see you cosplay as Q from 3rd strike because I thought about doing that once myself. And Stax, I will do my best to find the artist alley at AB2006 and talk to you. AA isn't too hard to find. If its in the same place it was last year then it's the hallway right outside of the dealer's room (so basically as soon as you step out of the DR you're automatically in AA).

I just noticed the game room is open for the entire duration of the convention. Hahaha christ I picked a good year to not be working there. :p (Although I think I remember it being open 24 hours in 2003... or I may be just dreaming that.)

I'll be there the whole weekend donking it up who knows where doing who knows what. Knowing me, that would probably mean pizownoring fools and harassing Supreet (which they really should make an Olympic sport) in the videogame room when I have nothing better to do.

I took second place. I was the guy Cosplaying as Johnny, but my character in game was Baiken. I lost to that crazy good Ky player in the finals, but we went to the last round. man that tournament was so much fun.

You did a great job running it by way. quite a few people thought they only had to sign up online to enter the tournament, and didn't sign up outside the game room.
I also believed that at first, when I finally learned about the on site sign up, all the tournaments I wanted to enter except Guilty Gear Slash were already capped out. my online sign up didn't reserve my place for some reason.
It was very good of you to let those people who only signed up online to enter the tournament.

yea thanks... I loved your cosplay, and for the record... you had that match... you engarded right through his rush... but you panicked at the end and that was the problem... ask gavin our fighting game coordinator for advice he could tell you how baiken can shut ky down...

yeah I couldv'e beaten Him. I did get really nervous the last round and It threw my game off. At least I made it to the finals though. My first Match I was so nervous I lost the first round. I was playing this Annoying May scrub who just kept spamming her crouching foward kick, forward punch, and whale overdrive. After I realised that was all he could do I wrecked him, but the first round I thought I was gonna lose the match.

This was both my first convention and first GGS tournament.

funny story about my cosplay. originally I was gonna go in this black ninja costume I tried to make myself, but I botched the outfit so day 1 I didn't do cosplay. I went with three friends Max who cosplayed as Ky, Sarah who cosplayed as Jam, and Leo who dressed up but not as any particular character. They met a Johnny cosplayer and at the end of the night Johnny gave Max the "Johnny belt"(He was cosplaying as different characters the other days and didn't need it any more). We were all staying at Leo's room during the con, and when we got back that night everyone kept pestering me too cosplay as Johnny. I said "but I only have the belt there's nothing else I could use for the costume". Then Leo said "well actually I have this Leather Jacket you could use, and this black hat, these dark Pants, these sweet boots,etc". The three of them convinced me to try everything on, and I liked the outfit so I cosplayed Johnny on the 2nd and 3rd days.

next year they want me to go as Slayer or Bridget.

and that jam was so beautiful... but i'd love to see another actual male... bridget... I myself am working towards a sweet testament if my other two cosplays get finished...
