I myself am not a big fan of the Xbox 360. I played a demo of it at FYE in the Warwick Mall and the new controller looks like a ripoff of the ps2 controller. The graphics from the games Kameo and Call of Duty 2 looked great, but there are only some games I like from the launch lineup like Perfect Dark Zero, Dead or Alive 4 and Ridge Racer 6. Sure its gonna come out with more games like Halo 3 and other good games, but I am saving up so much cash from work and I feel the Xbox 360 is not worth it until the price drops. The Playstation 3 will beat the crap out of the Xbox 360 anyway. who doesn't want to play games like Metal Gear Solid 4, Devil May Cry 4, Tekken 6, Killzone and other awesome games.

I played it at Walmart the only thing i didnt like was how cheap the demo is. I mean come one one 3 playable demos. Come on gates its one thing to have all the money in the world. Its another to mess with games around the world.

I didn't like the first Xbox, so I don't think I'd need a $350 paperweight.

If they ever release another Ninja Gaiden sequel on 360...I think that might be the only reason I buy it. That's if I become a millionaire and can afford to throw my money away...like Bill Gates for example.

I've yet to hear anyone that bought one (That I know) say it runs smoothly. Apparently it's glitchier than the Xbox original launch. The overheating is still there (That powersupply could run a small town!) And I've heard of ALOT of glitching i.e. Xbox turning off during games, games glitching at the same place everytime. I will wait and see on this years next gen systems. Once all have been out for a while Ill probably puurchase one. It's looking like PS3 so far...

Yeah, I think most people are leaning towards PS3...especially die hard Square-Enix fans like myself. Please God FFXII, come out!

I actually heard that some people have been very disappointed with FFXII so far, especially the battle system.

Garret's right, but I don't agree with the people that think that way. I won't mind the changes they make in XII. A lot of people, who are retarded, can't handle change. They think that every single FF that comes out just has to be exactly like they're favorite FF. Probably 7 or 8. But I welcome change. Was I the only one that loved X-2? lol I think it's exactly the right thing to change different things, it makes the games different from eachother and really separates each one's identity as a different game rather than just a continuation of a series. Well that's just my opinion...wait, no...that's the truth. hahaha Anyone else for keeping these games as individuals?

I hope you don't have anything negative to say about Ergheiz. I will destroy you all with Tifa.
You know you love it. (http://media.psx.ign.com/media/010/010902/vids_1.html)

Ah, Ehrgeiz. The 3D Tekken. I remember buying it under the suspicion that it had some link to Final Fantasy in some way. Then after some research I found out that Squaresoft had only published the game, and had little, if any, part in the development. As a last ditch effort to get it to sell they threw in a few playable FFVII chars. Ugh...I get chills just thinking about the UI of that game....
As for the 360, I think it's a decent system (when in perfect condition, which apparently isn't always so...) but I don't think it's $400 good. Just like Tickle Me Elmo and Furbys, ya gotta let the hype die down. The system reminds me of the Gamecube launch where there were few good games to buy at first (unless you're still playing Wave Race and Luigi's Mansion because they were such a blast.) Even still, the Cube was cheaper. The only game that truly impressed me as far as graphics was PGR. But unless you are a hardcore realistic racing fan in cars only Bill Gates and Oprah can afford, then it's really not worth it.
In the end people can argue about specs and features all they want. But it's really gonna come down to whether or not the player is having fun. I mean, when you go right down to the core, it's a game, right? Personally, if it's gonna cost me $400 or more to have fun, and it's not gonna be a full theme park vacation, I'll just wait and find the slighty cheaper route. :D

I agree, I'm waiting a little while for the prices to go down. Hopefully by the time I get it, they have better games as well.

Did you have to quote the whole thing?

Right on Jam, you really nailed this one on the head. The 360 is indeed a marvelous piece of technology, and for $400 it would seem expensive. The 360 from microsoft is pretty much a cheaper desktop/computer as I've heard from the overall community. People can argue specs and what not but the 360 does push out some stunning visuals, while It's not "real" you could say that It's close enough in this case. From what I've seen so far, PGR is perfect example of the previously stated, you can see everything in the car as far as first person-view is concerned, everything was modeled in great detail. Even so, the 360 isn't just about racing games, they've got Dead or Alive 4, Call of Duty, Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, and much more.
If you haven't had a chance to play the 360, I highly recommend trying it. That however doesn't mean to go out and buy it because not everyone can afford it, but It's an experience that isn't to be missed.

since when was tekken not 3d?
Okay, sorry I wasn't super specific. Here, lemme spell it out for ya. Ehrgeiz fighting style is different from Tekken in that rather than having classic Street Fighter mechanics, where the main flow of movement is back and forth, you could freely run around in three dimensions (similiar to a platformer) by using the D-Pad alone. It was, however, similiar to Tekken in it's graphics, cinematics, and in that it's main characters had traits that resembled Tekken characters. Namely, Jin and Hwoarang.
I hope that was in-depth enough, and I apologize for sounding like I don't know what "3D" means.
Oh, and welcome to the boards, Tekno. I hope you're having fun with your 360 as well. DOA was pretty damn fun! :D

The 360 is awesome. My roommates and I got one, Tekno is one of them, and it is indeed great. PGR3 is an excelent example of this. Its insane how indepth they went into it. It goes so far as showing stiching in the seats. Ö¿Ö TES: Oblivion looks like its going to be an insane RPG for it, thought the map goes over the edge being like 16 sq miles. DOA4 is stunning for a fighter, so difficult and fun. You feel good when you win a battle in story mode, even on normal you need above average skillz to beat it. Then again fighting games aren't my strongest suit. Kameo is a great platformer. Even has a co-op mode. I am a NFS fan so I had to get Most Wanted and that is such a fun racing game, single or multiplayer. I haven't been able to try and FPS's yet, but then again I would rather play them on the PC honestly. I just cant aim well with a controler. XD I will say that it needs more RPG's though.

Well. I won't say what I did to a 360.. But I will say that I love Burnout. Oh I love burning cars. Oh those tankers. Leave you with soo much money!
I love how you can change the faceplate. Good feature. Kinda interesting.

it does add an interesting customization, i cant wait to see what mods people put out for it when that gets figured out and people start doing it. I remember something about someone having a plexy-glass side on it, and crazy fan lights. That really isnt a tough thing to do though.

That game looks like its going to be insane. I mean virutally a 16 sq mi map. Knowing TES prolly over 500 hours of play if you want to do everything. I am sure the main storyline is no where near that. That aside the graphics and gameplay look amazing. The trailer was insane. Definately going to get that when its out, I think sometime in late spring. :D
