View Full Version : The official "Andy gets you stuff in Japan, in November" thread

Andy

Yes it's true folks, Andy is once again returning to hustle and bustle that is Kamioooka, Yokohama, Akihabara, and Tokyo during the first two weeks of November.

HOW TO REQUEST AN ITEM

Requesting an item is simple, just post the item you would like, and I will contact you via a pm, to discuss the details.

The more information you give me, including but not limited to, The exact title in Japanese script AND Romanji (if you know it), photos, links, ISBN number, manufacturer and model number, the easier this stuff is to find. Also, specify if you are willing to accept used goods. Sometimes used items are much cheaper, sometimes they are $2 cheaper, it all depends on the item. But my goal is to keep your costs down.

Generally, I only charge $5 over cost and I will find the absolute lowest price for you. Yes, I have been known to go to 30 different CD stores to get, you my wonderful TGA family, the lowest possible price. You can ask any of the TGA customers I have done special orders for during my last 7 trips if you need references as to the quality of the services I offer.

It is my pleasure to do this for you and I look forward to serving this wonderful community.

If you have given me a request in person, prior to this thread being created, please post it again, as I will be viewing this thread while I'm in Japan, to keep track of items and streamline the process.

Thanks everyone!

Andy

WOO! TGA site is back! :D

I do have a request too, Andy o_O. If you could, could you just pick me up an assortment of potato chips from over there? (For my Akimichi Chouji cosplay), and maybe a couple Dir en Grey CDs? That'd be awesome. Thanks, and congrats on getting the site back up!

EDIT: Sorry Andy, it's Tom / Elyas, just had Anothony change me user name ^^;

TOM!

Thanks for the post. All I need are two things really quick.

1 Which CD's would you like

2 How soon do you need the potato chips? If it's in the distant future, I can get a large assortment and sell them at TGA so you can pick them out yourself and enjoy them at the same time!

Thanks!

Andy

I know I'm not in RI, but if you're cool with it, I have a few requests.

- Golializze Artbook (Konamistyle LE with DVD)
- Beatmania 5th Mix OST (TOCP-64058/9)
- Beatmania Gottamix OST (KMCA-24)
- Beatmania III New Songs Collection (KMCA-60)

- Konamistyle V-Rare 5: DDR MAX 2: Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix

And I am TOTALLY cool with used merchandise. I know the wonders of Book-off and how awesome thier prices, selection, and overal product quality can be, so I totally trust the japanese resale market. Let me know if it's cool man.

Since DJP posted here, are you willing to ship items elsewhere? If so, I'd pay for shipping if you picked up pop'n music Best Hits. :o

Yes, I do know of some stores that sell Vinyl. Most of it is club, house and trance though. It can be reasonable, cheap or extremely expensive depending on what you get.

A case of green tea pocky, and a beatmania, m-flo, or popn music poster. Reprints are a-okay with me.

Also, melty-kiss to sell in store would rock, although I might want a case.

Just wondering if you have in-stock or know where to get...
1. pop'n music controller (preferably not the arcade sized one and not a desktop arcade one...) just a small 3rd party or Konami controller.
2. (If not that then) a guitar controller.

****I will accept used!!!!!****

Andy
November 3rd, 2005, 18:46
Konrad!

Thanks for the post. If you are talking about the small, tiny, mini Konami controller, I can get one for you while I am here. Just let me know asap.

Thanks

Andy

Thanks for getting back so soon, that would be great, do you know about what it might cost? If in my price range I'll take it.

The small pop'n music controller costs 80 dollars(I know because i bought one from Andy :) ) The controller is worth it though for practicing pop n' music but the small size makes the game a little easy(Just for me when I was a popn' noob :p ) So Konrad, if you are into pop'n and don't want to shell out 200+ dollars for a ransai or desktop arcade, this controller is the way to go. I hope I helped you in some way.

Craig Houle

Actually yeah it was very helpful. As much as i want to practice Pop'n I have to check my budget...and with the upcomming release of Ultramix 3 and K-Rev Party I dont think i'll have much left. Thanks anways and I'll keep it in mind.

oO Not really related to much, but is it possible to get a Super Milk Chan shirt?
::dies::. They cost so much online, and would take like $1,000,000 shipping.

I just remembered something that would actually be useful: the offical Melty Blood: Act Cadenza mook. Looking for it for two reasons: to analyze frame data, and to have something to bludgeon Anthony to death with when I get back. Used goods are fine here.

On that note, I have a suggestion: you should probably pick up some reveleant guides for the games at TGA to use as a reference. I'm thinking of this one Japanese SF3:3S guide I saw that was massive, and even though it was in Japanese everything was illustrated with screenshots well enough to be understandable (and you can dechiper what the frame data is). I think it would be really useful for players to have to reference while on site.

Andy- I know you got my PM, but just reposting this here with some additions for easier reference.

Gundam Battle Tactics and Armored Core: Formula Front International, both for the PSP, if they're out while you're there.

In addition, could you please find some large-ish messenger bags capable of holding a decently sized laptop? I'd just like a listing of what animes are plastered on the ones you run into, as I can't think of anything in particular, or if you can't work that bit in, just a generic black one would do.

Thanks.

Is it too late to add a request? Has Andy already came back?

Well, if possible, I would like to request the Playstation 2 game called ザ・警察官 新宿24時 (The Keisatsukan). This light gun shooting game is found in some arcades known as "Police 911" in the US.

Hope it's not too late...

Thanks,

Thanks, but just another question, the original post didn't specify if this is service is only for people who can actually come to the Tokyo Game Action location pick it up. I actually live in Canada, and I was wondering if it is possible to pay by PayPal, or money order, or cash by mail, to ship the item(s) there. Of course, I would be taking care of the extra shipping charges. Could one of the staff please clarify me on this?

This service is available for anyone on earth, the Moon or Mars.. well maybe not Mars..

I will be happy to look for and ship items to you. I should have made that more clear, I apologize for that. There will be a new thread up for December so please feel free to request an item and I will do my best.

I should also make clear that I will not transport any X-rated or strictly Adult material.. books where Dippy gets attacked by robot school girls are ok though. :P
