Chad, thanks for not only posting this thread, but for the kind words about us on the other forums. Ok do you guys want this? If you do, here's how you will get it for TGA.

1) Organize a special TGA fundraiser all you have to do is pick a date and tell a bunch of people to come down and do the $20 flat rate. Or you can raise the flat rate to like $22 or something. We will also have to cover the shipping, so figure about $800 total. If you do decide on a date, designate a leader for the project, and have him contact Anthony for a fundraiser date (I have been so busy with setting up 8 candy cabs, 8 boards, Pop'n 12, Happy Sky, Taiko 6 and 2 Japan trips that I've had to designate jobs to people. Anthony is in charge of scheduling, so just shoot him a possible date to make sure we don't have any confilicts with other planned events).

2) Our doorway is a 29 inch opening. I'm sure this cabinet can be broken down smaller than what is on the thread. Someone contact the seller and see if it's possible to break this thing down small enough to fit. I mean if IIDX can fit, I'm sure this can.

3) Get some references on the machine and the seller, make sure this thing works. Photos are one thing, they look great but can be deceptive.

I'm down for getting this, so if enough people want it and can do some leg work, it's yours. Good luck.

My point is that if they don't TELL the guy they want it, and have a way to get it quickly, by the time they organize this thing it could be gone. When an arcade collector decides they want a cab, they show up that night with a truck and cash. That could easily happen here if they don't make some sort of arrangement with the seller.

Do we have any TGA members in NJ? Maybe someone could stop by the seller's house and play a game? And at the same time that person could make sure that the machine does in fact come apart. Shouldn't the control panel and marqee come apart like every other Bemani game? They all come in exactly three parts.*

Raising the flat rate to $22 for a day isn't going to help very much, even if the whole $22 were to 'count' towards getting the game. At that price it's like "22 people for the price of 20", and the store can barely fit 20 players. I'd make a donotion except that I've reserved a KOC from Andy when he gets back from Japan. So like, I'm already spending about $100 some day this month at TGA. (Actually, the controller + $20 will probably be more than that amount.) So that future purchase plus the other two visits I've made already this month and... I'm tapped out. :( I would like to play BM: The Final though. If it would help I could squeeze in an exta visit this month. :)

Also, with the second batch of fighting games, where is this game going to go? Or....

*DDR's control panel splits in half for a total of four parts, but whatever.

I was talking to Jose the other night and he was telling me that TGA is going to be getting the 2 vacant rooms towards the back, this summer. I think that each room is going to have like a specific thing in them like fighters in one room, consoles, stations, Tvs and couches in one room, music/ bemani games in one room. so i dont think space would be an issue. But i hope we get enough people to be interested in this, it would be mega sweet to get to play Beatmania The Final.

Hello, I am the one selling this game. You guys are welcome to it at $500 if it could be picked up in the very near future. I believe $500 is a nice price for the game. The game works well and the monitor looks good. The neon and speakers all work very well too. The top and control panel do come off. Is BM III: The Final really that much better? I really know nothing about beatmania vs. IIDX vs. BM 3. :mouse: So I'm cool with whatever the general consensus is and would be happy to put in some extra money towards a great classic such as bm:f. :gator:

There's nothing wrong with buying a machine for $500, using it for a year, then selling it for $500. No loss, plenty of use. If you always hold out because what is inexpensively available isn't top of the line you're going to lose out most of the time.

The seller is here, the chance is here, the price is awesome. Either they organize the fundraiser, or they don't, the chance is there.
