When is Otakon and what's in like in comparison to Anime Boston? I've been wanting to go for awhile... cosplaying as none other than Renaissance Clown! :gator:

It's bigger and dumber, that's about it.

Anyone need a ride? I'm serious; I'm willing to drive people down and back (because Glenn and I are driving anyway, and saving money is g00t), with two stops -- somewhere south of Boston and at TGA.

(We may also have some space in our hotel room, for proscrationars... details coming).

Its August 19-21.
Its a lot bigger than AB. This year attendance is capped at 22,000 people. I can definatly see it reaching capacity (or at least coming really damn close). Last year had almost 21,000.
Last year sucked in comparison to other cons, but all of the other Otakons I've been to have been awesome.

But Yeah, Otakon sounds real fun after what Dipstick said, But I would really love to go there but i gtg to freaking work, I might just get a new job when I am 17 and just work at weekdays.

dipstick didnt say anything about how fun it was. he said it was big and dumb. which should come as no surprise, as all cons come in varying sizes and degrees of stupidity.

I'm probably going as Sheena from Tales of Symphonia on one day and either Julia Chang or Jin Kazama from Tekken (Still haven't decided yet).

I finally registered. And changed my costumes (I tend to do that). Now I'll be going as Esper Terra from FFVI. I'm not sure what I'm doing for my other costume yet. I'm planning a group thing so I need to talk to everyone else.

I'm starting a Devil Zukin costume, but I'm going to be doing it in much detail and it probably won't be ready until next Anime Boston. XD.

I'll be there this year. I don't think I can cosplay though. I don't have that 97 lb ninja-type frame I used to have.

I hate to do this, but I'm desperate.
If anybody has any extra room in thier room and car for Otakon and would be willing to help me out, let me know.

My freinds ended up not being able to go at the last minute (Its a long story but I just found this out today) so that means I have no ride and no place to stay. I'm willing to sleep on the floor or wherever and I'll defiantly split costs for the room and pitch in for gas. I'll even bring some snacks along for everyone. If I could get a key, that'd be awesome too because I'll probably be running around to different photoshoots. I really need something within walking distance of the BCC.
The only baggage I'll really have is a suitcase. I'll also have a box for my wig and my messenger bag but I can always hold both of those on my lap in the car.
