i could say something, but i feel it best to just say that Tim Burton has some of the best artistic direction in hollywood today, and that any merchendising of his properties, i'm sure, have nothing to do with him himself.
As for hot topic, they are just trying to make money off of an age that all kids go through. Heck, i still hear hot topic clothing. Double heck, i'm wearing some right now. Guess that'll make me a sellout, but not quite as big as tim burton

Sorry if my previous post was mean, but I am under the impression that "selling out" isn't just selling merchandise, but rather altering your artistic product to something that isn't what it should be in order to sell more products. I do believe that Tim Burton HAS altered his artistic style to sell more, but it's hard to say.

Hot Topic isn't such a bad thing, but I think that it promotes some ideas that I don't necessarily agree with, and it charges outrageous prices. I actually find it more sickening that people buy the stuff that is priced so high, rather than Hot Topic pricing it so high. I DUNNO. Hot Topic bugs me...

I really don't agree with the making of this movie at all. Don't get me wrong, Johnny Depp rocks, and rocks hardcore but as far as I'm concerned Gene Wilder is the only Willy Wonka. I grew up watching the original as a kid. Its a pretty screwed up movie when you think about it and I like it. ^_^
The new version doesn't look appealing to me at all, and I wont watch it. Its just seems as if its bastardisation of something I enjoyed.

The pricing is way too high. I only get stuff there if I can't find it anywhere else. Like their pants. Their band shirts you can get from old glory. But ebay has a lot of cheap and interesting clothing. TRIPP is the best company there their skirts and pants last forever.
