After playing some 3rd Strike at Anime Boston and seeing how good people are, and wanting to be that good, I decided I would try to get my hands on the game and a good arcade stick so I can not suck. Can anyone give me suggestions as to a good stick for the PS2/Universal that doesn't cost a gagillion dollars? I'm really hoping to improve and look forward to getting to play some competitive matches some day, so help out a new fan. Thanks.
I recommend the X-Arcade. Just google it. I think its 100$ for 1p and 150$ for 2p. Its definitely worth it if you're serious. It works with everything, pc, dc, ps2, xbox possibly gc. My friend had one and its very sturdy and wont give out. Plus lifetime warantee how can you not love that? If you cant afford that i say go with the Tekken one for ps2 with the nice art on the controller. Thats good collection and quality.
EDITED for clarification:
After playing some 3rd Strike at Anime Boston and seeing how amazing Andy was with Q, I started crying. If figured that since I stood next to him while he played, some of his power might have rubbed off on me and now I want to try and be like my hero :)

HA!
Actually like I said at AB, for the short time you have played 3S, you are getting really good, really quick. I think if you practiced at home, it would really benefit you. Pm me, I have a stick you might be interested in. :)

Eh, i dunno. I don't think you even need a stick to be really really good. Just practicing at home is enough...
Speaking of which, i need to work on 3s and CvS2... hmm.

Honestly, there are a few people on SRK that offer great custom sticks for reasonable prices. If you want a custom stick be prepared to at least pay $150. If you go to SRK trading outlet there are also some Namco sticks, T5 sticks, as well as some custom sticks on sale. I think one is being sold for $85 Canadian which is really cheap and the stick is actually quite nice and new. It has Happ parts though.
