This is the best in gaming skills that I've seen yet, sorry Jose, triple A's are nothing compared to this guy. He finishes Super Mario Brothers 3 in about 11 minutes. This really stunned me, but I'm guessing that this guy played the whole game and figuring out secrets in the game to do this, but still. I'm amazed, cause I haven't even beated the first part of the map yet. ^_^
This is the site to go see it all played out, all 11 minutes of it..: http://media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=moSMB3.wmv

I do hope you're aware that that was done on an emulator, using slowdowns. I don't have the exact site, but it has also been done for Mario 1, Mario 2, every NES Megaman, Ghosts n' Goblins...the list goes on. In short: sure, they're entertaining. But they're fake.

man i saw the video before but i really hate to be the bearer of bad news. Unfortunately that isn't really skill more like an Emulator used and a changed framerate. it took the guy 2 years to do all of it.

Yea I think that's awesome too, even though it is on an emulator. There's also videos of him doin Megaman and Megaman 2 too i think. 2 years to do that? What a waste of time lol.

That's old...like...one and a half year old. And Morimoto's record was beaten for SMB3 a while back by 5 seconds and gets a higher score. Since then there have been numerous time attacks and there are plenty that still come out daily on several sites (dealing with NES, SNES, GB/A, Genesis, so far). If you think that's good, (and it is, but there are better attacks) you should check out the rest of them here (http://bisqwit.iki.fi/nesvideos/). The big stuff now is GBA, since the format has finally been coded for tool use, and Metroid: Zero Mission and CastleVania: Circle of the Moon are two new ones.
Also, as for the fake-ness, that's a horrid term for it. Fake would be that no human did this and it is not possible to replicate unless you did some cheesy cut-and-paste work in a video editor (which is clearly not the case here). A better term, as the site says, is Tool-assisted. Reason I say this is because if a person was actually competent enough to pull this off with 100% accuracy, it would be possible. The movies themselves, before they get processed to AVI, are nothing more than video log files for each emulator of keys pressed and various stuff like music played and where you're at in the game...so there's no cut and paste job, this is the person playing the game with (probably) numerous re-records. I've seen 160,000 in one myself. But anyways, if it wasn't possible, then it would be fake in my opinion...but months go into something like this and by the book it is definitely not fake...just really really fast with computer tools and emulators and savestates and slowdowns.
Considering where I roam from, this is just everyday stuff for me. >_>
