Hey, i went to TGA last Sat. and played DDRF...DDR forever...and i loved it, I wish I can play it again because it was sick that it had all of the songs that I can think of, off of the top of my head and played it.
Very good experience.

I would, if I was anywhere close to Rhode Island. Hell, as of tomorrow, the closest DDR machine will be 70 miles downstate from me...which is going to suuuuuuck...

I haven't gotten a chance to, but I cannot wait to play my picks on there and fail miserably.

I should get some of my better pad submissions together and send them out over there. Not like I'd be playing them anytime soon (if ever) on the machine over there but I pad to them at my place enough. :\

The old DDR will be back, we will have 2 machines soon, but right now DDR:F is making more money for TGA and that is what is important.

I'll say this. I dont like the "originals" on the machines. Since they're stepmania originals. Which, from my expirience, makes them utter sh....poop. HEY LETS ADD A FAST BPM AND LOTS OF JUMPS AND IT WILL BE LOTS OF FUN.... On your fingers.
I'll make some stepfiles if I feel so inclined, eventually.

Trust me, if I had it my way there would be no originals. When I built the machine there were 675 songs, I come in a week later and there are 1047. So I delete the originals and people have the right to bitch and ask how I have the nerve to erase their songs. My question is how do they have the nerve to put their songs on my machine. Next thing you know there are 3 versions of A and 5 version of Sakura. I worked my ass off to make this machine something to help TGA, but when it starts to clutter with crap, and people end up playing 3 sucky simfiles in a row and don't like DDR:F anymore then that doesn't help TGA. From now on there will be NO more originals unless either myself or Andy approve them, and once they are approved they must be re-synced by clay in order to be put on the machine. This machine represents what TGA is capable of building, lets make sure it functions smoothly and helps bring more summer business. Sorry to be such a bastard with this post but this is getting out of hand, I spent the last 5 months making this happen and I am not gonna lose it now, I want this to be a project the whole TGA team can work on together, not something someone just throws tons of crap simfiles they found into it and says they helped make this happen.

I was checking to see if u were online to ask you about something about this. Are people putting their own stuff on there without permission? Is that what is going on?? Sorry if you said that and I read it wrong.. Or whatever, but that is what I get from this.

People are coming to TGA, seeing stepmania, bringing their files in the next day and just throwing them on like they own the machine. The only person that has permission to put songs on their is Andy, yet there have been about 10 people dumping songs on it like they own the machine.

Anthony is correct, I back him up on this 100%.The first week few weeks of testing was for fun and to show you what our machine is capable of. Now the messing around is over and the business of getting this ready for it's release begins. We are under a lot of pressure to meet our deadline. We have very big plans for DDR Forever, plans which require insane amounts of work.
The new beta testing will be playing the original DDR songs to verify that they are 100% accurate. We know that the current song list has issues, again, this is only the introduction and exposure phase. Everyone is welcome to participate in the sync test phase when it begins. Once the new hardware and final build is finished, I will make the announcement that sync verification testing has begun. Until then, the current hardware will remain in place, so enjoy the game, have fun with it, but remember that he final version will be completely different.
Let me tease you and say that as amazing as the current setup is, it is only the tip of the iceburg. We have such huge plans for this that it will blow your minds. I cannot say what those plans are but, they will be revealed and implemented before the summer.
As I stated previously, all the originals on the final build will be synced to 100% accuracy, we have a sync team working on this as we speak.
All of the "new" / original songs that will be included in the final release, will be approximately 50 songs that have good steps and are 100% accurate.
There will be a system in place after the final build that will allow people to add original songs. This is all I can comment on for now.
Thanks everyone.

SUGGESTION:
Why don't you set it to read songs and simfiles from a CD as well as the hard drive. It's a fairly simple task, and that way people can play whatever songs they want to bring in, and not keep them on the machine for the next person to play.
EDIT : Never mind. I just thought of this and realized that it probably would require a restart of the machine to recognize the new songs. Anyway, if there was a way to have it check D:/ (or whatever the CD drive is) every time someone pushes the start button for the first time (much like the way DDR Machines search for a Memory Card), I could see this happening.

I think Andy pretty much cleared up any questions, but I just wanted to say that I fail to see why people feel the need to put original simfiles on the new machine to begin with. I mean, DDR Forever is supposed to have EVERY SINGLE SONG from 1st mix - 8th mix, the home versions (including Ultramix 1 and 2), and all the obscure arcade mixes. How many songs is that? I believe Anothony said something like 675? I don't know about you guys, but I could spend an entire day playing DDR Forever and it would still take MANY visits just to play all of them even ONCE. Think about it: do we really need any "new" sim files? So these 50 new songs that Andy says will be included in the final build that will make you say, "I can't believe it's not a Konami original!" should be more than enough new material to sate everyone, right? :gator:

And just to clear anything else up for the people who are still wondering why they can't put there file on the machine:
One of the things planed for the future of this machine is it is going to be linked to it's sister machines (which we will not give details about right now). Each of these machines must have the same exact songs to play machine vs. mode (meaning arcade vs arcade comp). Thats why we are not adding other songs. nuff said.

EDIT (again): I'm sorry. I just realised that my post sounded really mean. This was not meant to sound like bashing or anything. Carry on.

Suggestion: Some way of linking webcams that will display on the 2nd player side (or separate monitor, if you want to get really ritzy) that shows the other dancer(the remote one). Just for cool visual effect...

him inlining the graphic doesn't break any rules (none that I know of atleast), and it is on his server so no bandwidth usage for tga.com. I say let it be there to get opnions, imho.

I just went to tga for the first time today and played DDR: Forever and that game is so awesome! There was only one problem with I believe in Miracles in sync but it was fixed on the same day and I played the song so well! I had a blast with that game and everything else at tga. I can't wait to go back when i have the time and the money. Later.
