Anybody seen this yet? I went with Tom (Elyas), Nougat, and some other people who aren't on the forums on Friday.
I have to say, this is the BEST movie I have seen all year. IMO, its the best comic book move ever made. Everything is taken directly from the graphic novels as far as I can tell (So far I've only read "The Hard Goodbye") from the dialouge right donwn to the camera angles. Its ridiculously accurate, then again Frank Miller was involved in it (he also has a cameo as the preist that Marv talks to).
You don't need to read the comics to go enjoy it and understand whats going on, because it is basically the comic in moving form. Although I'd suggest picking them up if you have the cash, they rock. They are kinda pricey though. They range in price from $12- $30 depending on which story arc you get (there are 7 in all).
Visually, this movie is amazing. From the black and white with random coloring, the rendered enviornment, to the cinematography, I was in awe the entire time.
If you are an adult, I'd suggest seeing it. Its like Film Noir with lots of violence.
This one is NOT for the kids.
I'd give this movie a 5 out of 5, AND I'd bear its children.
Kevin = awesome
Marv= the man
