there was this arcade/billiards place i used to love to go to when i was little...i think it was when we lived in costa mesa in cali. but the point is i really got into mortal combat back then...i used to play with sonya a lot because, of course, she was a chick. but i then turned to scorpion and the similar characters cuz their moves were cooler. XD

I was always a Raiden fan. I was especially annoying with teleports. Plus, his moves are really easy.

I remember those Abe, I think that was around the time that I really got into the game, only because I had that code, otherwise, I just kind of got pissed at it because I know I had done the fatality or whatever right, and the guy just fell. :/

Personally, I thought the fatalities in MK3 were a bit unimaginative. Now, MK2's fatalities are a whole lot better. Remember, Kung Lao's fatality where he takes it sharp hat and split's the guy in half? That was a good one. Plus, I think that JAX's fatalities are alot better in 2. Animalities was a bore, and Brutality was stupid. was happened to the cool fatalities... BLAH!!

Johnny Kage was a good time. I usually played as Sonya much like Jen. I remember kids getting hardcore over this game at the roller rink when they got I think it was like MK3. I like the ninja chicks too but I can't remember any of their names. And the strength game was fucking HOT! XD

Midway is releasing Midway Arcade Treasures 2 in September for all 3 main consoles. It has arcade-perfect versions of MK1-3 on it. We will have to play a ton when it comes out (no UMK3 though). They had MK1 going at E3 and everyone was whoring it. They also have MK: Deception coming out, but that looks like MK: Deadly Alliance with new characters. I'd much rather play the old ones.

I used to play all the time. I remember every single fatality from 1 and 2, and half of the ones in 3. I remember a good deal of the Friendships and Babalities in 2 as well. Sub-Zero was hella broken in 1 and Mileena was my fave in 2. I didn't like 3 as much.

the old-skool MK was the shit, but deadly alliance kilt the the MK franchise for now, i just hope that Midway does way more better with its upcoming MK game, MK Deception.

Having played Deception at E3, I can tell you that it plays almost exactly like Deadly Alliance does. I wasn't all that impressed. Also, Sub-Zero stole Shredder's costume from Ninja Turtles.
