I just wanted to know how many people play PIU. Do people that play DDR think that Pump is easy to pick up. I do. I have been playing for like 1 month and I can do most crazy songs and working on some Nightmares.

Oh yah, if you do like Pump It Up I highly suggest buying EXCEED for the PS2, All the same songs as the ones in the arcade and its really fun. Package includes pad (which is a very good pad considering its not metal) and the PIU EXCEED game and a bonus Banya CD.

PIU is insane. I've tried playing it several times and I could never pick it up. So it's impressive when I see someone get on a PIU machine and play well.

Heh, since I work at D&B now and can hardly get to TGA, Exceed2 has been all I've been playing lately. Oh, and I put on weekend shows during my break. :]

@_@..I think PIU is more harder than DDR. Because the pad is much bigger with an extra step and I'm a small guy and its just hard..But I like the songs that PIU has..^_^

Yeah, I've tried PIU, and I felt a little awkward spreading my legs ( ;) ) that far. It's quiet different from DDR, but it wasn't too hard for me to pick up.

Bryan maybe I saw you when you were at work, I go to Dave and Busters to play EXCEED 2. I was there like 2 weeks ago on a Saturday. I know someone that was working their was talking to me. If you recongize me I have brown hair curly, about 5'6 and glasses. you get such a crowd when you play at PIU. I was doing Monkey Fingers on Crazy and their were like 17 people watching me no lie. Monkey Fingers Crazy is Crazy. Its a 17 and I still manage to get an A on it :)

Piu is weird at first, but I picked it up in about a month and now I am really really good at it. It helps though that I am pretty good at ddr, I pretty much adjusted to it.

And not to sound like I'm flaming: Unless you have photographic proof, I refuse to believe that you have 21 AAAs, unless they're on Light or Standard.

More then half of them are on the home version, not in the arcade. I will change my signature to show how many I have in the arcade

Yeah... that's a good idea. Home AAA's don't count... at all.

I played PIU somewhere down in Pennsylvania, near a summer camp where my brother was working, not at D&B's.

PUMP IS AT CHUCKY CHEESES YAY! I saw a commercial on tv for Chucky Cheese's and two little kids were playin pump. They were just jumpin up and down like monkeys with ADD, but they have it lol. If Chucky Cheese's got dm, i would definitely go.

Most probably won't have Pump. Do all stores have really hott employees just because they're in the commercials? Yeah... you wish. I wish...

There is a Chucky Cheeses in Warwick near the Warwick mall, maybe I will go check it its there this weekend, if its not there oh well Warwick Mall is right Next to Chuckie Cheeses and I will just go play Intial D, Pump and DDR their :P

pump is okay. the perfect window is too big and its too easy to pick up if you play ddr so there isnt much challenge.

I had the hardest time playing it at Chunky's in Pepperel. I kept trying to play it like DDR, so I wouldn't say it's too easy to pick up. :/

PIU is my baby. It's too bad that the only place I can actually play it in is Tilt... where they shut it down for Tekken tournaments. =_=; My stamina has been sucky lately, but on good days I can do fairly decent, like... Monkey Fingers and Dignity on Hard. e.e;... Not that great, I know, but I'm working on it. <3

PIU is a good game(even the dance mats suck ass) I first played it in Canobie Lake Park, no one was playing this game, I come back to the arcade at night and still no ones playing it

Pretty sure this thread is about whether or not you like PIU and whether or not people really care... so I'll follow what I presume to be the suit: I *like* PIU, but I use the term "like" very liberally. I like the song selection: it's refreshingly new stuff (at least on the machine I played). But really, DDR is "my sweet darlin'"... and well, it never lost its allure on me. And I like ramen.

I don't play pump it up. I only played it once and that is it. You can score very easily on that game because when I first played I single digited a song on the basic level, which was nothing anyway. :guin:

I like it, it can be a lot of fun if you... you know... just try to enjoy it as a game. It has a lot more easy stepcharts than DDR (that are a lot more fun most of the time), and it also caters to the masochistic with a load of shit-crazy songs on the other end of the spectrum as well. It makes me sad to know that people can pass Dignity Nightmare.

PIU is too hard for me. I tried it at D&B in Providence Place Mall. I feel off the machine my legs are too short to reach the buttons.

PIU is really easy, once you get the hang of it. I got up to the 'crazy' level (on most songs) within a few days, once Exceed arrived at Tilt. o_o The perfect window is a lot larger than DDR, but the steps are a bit more tricky. Just play a little more, and you'll get the hang of it.

It's fun. Go play. <_<
