Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4... How to describe this game. It's just so many things. It may possibly be the greatest game that i have ever played. It's just amazing how everything comes together. The over the shoulder targeting, the weapon upgrades, the taking care of Ashley, which i thought was gonna suck but she actually helps you out alot. The graphics are friggin beautiful. I say that the only thing that will top RE4 on consoles graphics may be Gran Turismo 4. But that's not really the point. The storyline is great, great voice acting and dialogue. You really feel as if you're in the world that Leon is, and you feel as if you are Leon. And the best part is that it is genuinely scary. Scary because of the unsuspected, not the slashing murder. There can be a whole gang of people and they surround you. You feel clostrophobic and feel like you're actually being surrounded. The first time this happened to me i actually moved around and jumped out of my seat because i thought i was actually surrounded. I could just go on and on, but this is a totally new Resident Evil. All the crappiness of old is gone. All i can say is that if you have a GC, this is a MUST!!! It's coming out on PS2 later this year but im sure that the load times will be horendous (did i spell that right?) and the graphics will surely be dumbed down. With 25+ hours of gameplay in this badboy, i have to give Resident Evil 4, a Perfect 10. Once you start playing you wont be able to stop. Capcom really delivered on this one.

I'm 13 Hours in on Chapter 4-4. I believe that theres 7 chapters, not sure.
Post what you thougt of the game. Most people love it, but some love the old RE and don't really like this one.

I would have made this thread awhile ago, but I didn't have the time too. I've been playing Resident evil games since I was 11yrs old. Sure the classic RE games don't compare to RE4. The game is amazing. The day purchased was day it came out and got the special editon. The game was so addicting I couldn't stop myself from playing. This game is the best game for the gamecube as of right now. I give this game a 10. :)

I'm sure i could beat it in a day if i had the time. This span of playing has been over two weeks :( I've had alot of work and stuff, plus i gotta get a job soon. But as of now, I'm at chapter 5-2 or 5-3 at 14 hours. Time for me to write my engrish essay.

Just beat RE4 about 20 minutes ago and DAMN THAT WAS A GREAT 19 HOURS!!! The only thing is wish that they made the end cutscene a little longer.

Reisdent Evil 4 is really fun! Right now I just beat the Big cheese and I am needing to deal with these dumb monks that shoot fire arrows at me >.< But I have been playing Xbox more lately because I just got Xboxlive, and I am always on :)

Yeah there are awesome reviews for this game, I played all the old school ones and RE 0 on GC. THis is game is a winner, I really want to get my hands on it.

yeah, RE4 is awesome, i beat it too. i thought it was a bit too easy on normal though, i wish they made it harder. thats the first RE game i have ever beaten, and i felt special about myself. XD! the only RE games i havent gotten to play were, RE code veronica X, Reisdent Evil Outbreak, and RE Survivor (which i heard REALLY sucksed from A LOT of people) i need to start getting into playing the games.i wanna beat Resident Evil 3 though, i loved that game, i never beat though........im gonna have to ask jose if i can borrow it some day........

Big Cheese? Who's that? If you mean El Gigante then you have a long way to go lol. Are you at the Castle where the guys yell "LO COGE LO" which i think means It catches it.
Did anyone else think that the final boss was easy? I thought that Salazar was way harder.

Well, this is probably the greatest survival horror game I have ever played... and That's saying a lot from a person whos not really a hardcore fan of them.

The Gameplay is really one of the best on the Gamecube, and the graphics are beautiful (and scary)

I'm on my second run through, and i think I'm close to Salazar.

that day when he beat it at TGA, it wasnt his first time, he wanted to get a shorter time, i know, i was there the whole night and Andy let us stay there longer, only me and the staff members, after closing and i watched jose for like 3 hours, playing it straight, and beat it. i had no idea how i could just sit there and watch him for THAT long lol

i loved the game though, i cant wait to buy that game soon and also (even though it doesnt get to do with resident evil) Starfox Assault. CANT WAIT!!!! XD

Last time I posted I was only on the Big Cheese, Now I am about to beat the game for my 4th time :P I am trying to get through game without dying once so I can get the Chicago Typewriter (this is not a real typewriter, its a old school machine fun with infinite ammo) I have the infinited rocket launcher now, I got that after I beat it the first time :P
