Its what everyone WANTED Zelda to be when it first was announced for the Gamecube. Realistic looking, and lots of killing of Orc-type creatures and what-not. And Link looking bad-ass and not kiddy. And the movie says coming soon... mm...

Well, based off of the movie itself, the game has gone through a good amount of work without the public ever knowing much. I have to give nintendo credit for hiding such a game so well. Oh well, it's definitely well worth the wait.

I agree, I think they had this game in the works and only showed those two screens of Link vs. Gannondorf in the magazines before the GameCube came out, and then kind of twisted the whole thing by releasing a bunch of other games that weren't the one we saw in the screens, now they bring it back and it looks close to done and all awesome in stuff.

So to say the least, this was an awesome move for Nintendo, they really had all of us stumped. But Heliostar said, THIS is the Zelda game I've waited for, and I am definitely going to buy it.

I agree that Wind Waker was a pretty good game, but when I think of The Legend of Zelda, this is the kind of game that I think of (as far as the graphics are concerned.)

Rumors are that the fighting engine is, in fact, the same one used in Windwaker. BUT (as said by somebody at E3) Windwaker never really used the engine to its highest potential and in this upcoming game they are planning on using everything the engine has to offer. So...

Yes. :) ROCK ON ZELDA!

Windwaker wasn't THAT different control/action-wise from OoT. You still got the backflips, the 3 item buttons, the spin attack, the lunge, the auto-blocking, and the z-targeting (remapped to 'L'). But I'm still excited to see what comes next.

And on a somewhat related note, what does the ending to Windwaker even mean? Was anyone else confused when the King of Hyrule just appeared out of nowhere?

Yeha, it looks fairly similar to the Wind Waker battle system to me. And I agree it wasn't all that different from OoT. ::shrugs:: I'm sure it'll be cool.
