Ok lots of people will tell you X-Box...I love PS@ personally there are a lot of good games on it that aren't opn X-Box. Sure the graphics are slightly better on X-Box because its newer. But pS2 has...kingdom hearts, final fantasy, harvest moon(w00t)(well there are only like hmmm 2 or 3 games of harvest moon on ps2.),and a bunch more plus i've heard of a lot of people having problems with x-box like it melting and such...and my boyfriends x-box just died a little while ago it was something with insides...not sure but anyway. he had it on ly for maybe a year or 2 years...my ps2 is 3 years old and doing very well.end of my rant.

there are reasons to get both. I have this debate at work daily (at least when we have both in stock). X Box has supperior graphics, if that's your bag, along with better online play. PS2 has a more diverse quality of games. If you want an RPG system, you get a PS2, if you want an FPS system, you go for x box. But personally, i find that any game that comes out multi-platform will be better on X Box

yeah but playstation has its share of problems too. faulty lasers and such. and the power supply on x-box has a tendency to go. in my "professional opinion" you ought to get a commodore 64. = )

XBOX is pretty good, but how can it compare to PS2 with all of its Bemani glory?

wow rob...you hit the problem exactly :-)
My power supply died when HALO 2 came out...not entirely sure why, but I was able to sell the busted system on Ebay for like $70 so it wasn't too bad :p
My brother's PS2 had a crapload of problems, ranging from dirty disk errors, to freezing, to the controller thinking that X was being pressed every 0.05 seconds...and we had to tape the insides of the purple CDs to read them properly

the "fat model" ps2s had a 40% defect rate. The lasers easily mis-aligned and would result in circle scratches, the disk trays were flimsy, and there were problems all around. I had been telling people at work once the new slim model came out, "it fixes all the problems, then again, i have a release date ps2 and it's working fine." and then it died. And now i have the slim one, and i'm happy.
And i knew i shoulda mentioned ps2 having bemani. But does ps2 get ultra bust a move? I rest my case
