Has stuff like uploadable content and online tournament support and stuff. Some songs visible from one screenshot like:
A, Maxx Unlimited, My Summer Love, Make Your Move, Make A Jam (Yay).
Discuss! Or something... I'll just say the dancer looks cool.

Woah... They turned Emi into a dancing ho. I like the dancers newer high polygon counts, but the game seems to have trouble doing some cel-shading, but hopefully, that would be fixed.
I don't like the turn of events for DDR and lil' kiddies.
*shudder* (ME IS NOT FROOT)

Well, that's one person that likes the retro layout, anybody else? Personally, I'm not too fond of it, but hey, it's like "going back to its roots"... but in another sense, it looks like a bad skinned version of Stepmania.

I'm interested to see how this new interface shapes up... might be nice, who knows.

I should elaborate. I like that they've done away with the all-encompassing panel strips that 5th Mix and up had. The layout that allows the arrows to be visible for the whole vertical span of the screen is something I liked about the older mixes, but the metallic look is old and looks like something that got puked out of photoshop. Layout good, design bad.

DDR 3rd Mix had a fairly odd interface, compared to what we have now. I just want to see what this new one looks like. Maybe it'll look like IIDX? Hah.

If it does, I will come. 6th Style's interface was orgasm on a screen. 10th's is swank.

7th is pretty too. Has nice background during song select.

I've only seen what I mentioned, but the pictures of 7th were sexy as well.

I thought the new interface was for DDR Extreme? But I still agree - layout: good, skin on the layout: bad. Metallic grey is a very boring color.
And someone from KCEH said on ddrfreak that nothing in the songlist is final yet. Like UM1, some of the E3 songs might either be saved for songpacks or not used at all.

in my opinion........................................... ................. IT LOOKS REALLY GAY AND STUPID FOR A DDR!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mean, why are they putting 4 player into, thats just gay!!!!!!!! I'll try it when it comes out, but im probably not gonna be impressed........... :(

I personally don't think that it's that bad. I can deal with the skin and the layout of things (except for the song selection screen, it just looks weird to me). Four player, although not "new" anymore (due to the first Ultramix) brings something different to the table. This is another way to prevent the game from going stale. Those new modes don't hurt either. :)

i think that UM2 will be as good as the first. i own an xbox *is hit with eggs by PS2 owners* and ultramix. the interface of the first was a little odd, not what i was used to. UM2 will expand upon the first, and if Bemani/Konami knows whats good for them, it better be good. =D
(oh i also own a PS2, it sits on top of the Xbox, its like an add-on to the 'box.
=D
