ATTENTION ALL PHOTOSHOPPERS, MS PUBLISHERS, and everyone else for that matter.

While the handwritten signs in TGA are effective and attractive in a nonformal way, I was thinking that maybe we could post some new, more colorful or eye-catching designs to celebrate the new changes. So, without further ado, I propose that all those skilled in Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher, Paint Shop, or any other kind of artistic or sign-creating talent should get together on this thread and make TGA absolutely drop-dead sexy.

And I'm talking like supermodel-sexy. I want this place to look as good as the man who owns it, and for that, we're gonna have to kick it up a notch...BAM! *sorry, I couldnt help myself*

I am going to start by making the General Rules sign, and the "Don't Pay, Don't Play" sign for the consoles (located directly to the right and above the shelf for the rules, and in the IIDX CS and DMX room for the console one)

If you are willing to help, post whatever sign you want to make, and get up, get up, and get busy!

ANDY: If you could post the general rules list and console warning in this thread, or direct me to where I may find them online, it would be a big help. I don't want to leave anything out!

Yeah, if someone puts up what the signs look like and say, I'd be glad to help.

Thanks a million!!

Andy, you should also consider getting a new sign for the outside of the store, perhaps one more attractive.

OK, after working for about an hour and a half, I have come up with (IMHO) a good replacement for the General Rules. Note that the "Blah"s will not be in the final product. I wanted to make it colorful enough to attract the eye, but simple enough to not distract the reader from the Rules themselves.

Comments/Questions/Suggestions/Flames are most definately welcome. I am an equal opportunity listener.

I was actually going to start a thread about this but figured this was a good place to put it instead:

Andy:
I'll be going to Anime Boston again this year and will be getting a table at the Artist's Alley to sell some of my work. I was wondering if it'd be cool to make up some TGA flyers to stick on my table and on the con's flyer table. If its cool I can make up some designs and send them to you.
I just thought it would be a good idea and help spread the word about TGA.

Stax, Andy's NEVER going to want free publicity. You're dumb for even asking. :p

Wow, I would be beyond honored. Thank you so much. We will be sponsoring AB again like we did last year. I would like to get some nice brochures made up with photos and such. I'm sure whatever you design will be great!

If anyone does attend AB and wants to help advertise TGA, our T-shirts will do just that. We might make another one just before AB.

Thanks again!!

This is like a Christmas present I've been meaning to give TGA for the last 2 years, so this is something I'd love to do. I have a lot of connections with the larger printers down here in Providence, so if you guys can come up with something, I'll see about getting it printed.

We need a solid TGA brand, and I think something like this will help develop that.

Ok, just for general info..what are the names of the games TGA has.

So far I have DDrextreme, pop'n music, iidx red, dance maniax. WHat are the other ones called? (I generally just say "that drum machine"). XD
And what is TGA's exact address? And phone #?

Official Machine list as of 1/14/05:

Beatmania IIDX RED
Dance Dance Revolution Extreme
DanceManiax 2nd Mix Append J-PARADISE
DrumMania 5
PercussionFreaks 9
Pop'n Music Console Setup w/ RANSAI ASC
Street Fighter 3rd Strike

That's the list right now. Most likely by AB we'll have Gitadora V (aka DrumMania V and GuitarFreaks V in session mode) and PF9 will be taken down...check the headlines for more info.

The address is 257 Main St., Woonsocket RI.
I don't even know what the phone number is anymore...I get Andy's number and the TGA phone mixed up all the time.

Ok, thanks ^_^.

I already ended up with one design for a "club style" flyer (my fave types of flyers to make) and I'm working on another one atm.

It would be awsome if TGA had a bigger sign out front hanging higher if possible. It could be a great way to attract more attention if it's at a more "viewable" place...Just a thought.^_^

Hey guys! After a month or so of laying around being lazy (sorry Andy >_<), I finished work on the sign for the front door. The next one I am going to do is the DM Warning sign. I will keep this thread updated with the new work that I put out.

Bryan, when you said that you have connections with printer people; was that for signs or t-shirts? If it was for signs, I can send you a higher-quality JPEG or the PSD original to make it look better. Let me know whats going on, and I'll get back to you. My printer just totally sucks, and I want them to be professionally printed (laminated too...I'm so needy :crybaby: )

Anyway, here it is in all of its photoshopped glory...if thats what you call it:

Note: I will be updating the door warning sign to remove the $10 flat rate option. The new version will be up soon!

Pretty good. The first part doesnt seem right though. The "Thank for you coming" part. It was probably just a type-o i just wanted to let you know. Other than that looks great.

Hey guys. Got some new updates on the sign situation.

The Front Door warning sign is being amended by Andy. As soon as he is done rewriting the sign, I will remake it and such. I also have been able to do both the Drummania and Guitar Freaks signs; check them out and let me know what you think.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/SoAxVampyre/GFwarning.jpg - GF Sign

Both will have the TGA logo added to the bottom of them before being posted *hopefully*.

Cool signs, it's "Hott". I think I saw one on the front door. ^_^

Heh, woops, I used my drumsticks last saturday, but mine are also Vic Firth Nylon Tipped, they're just thicker than TGA's. I just don't like the skinny sticks. So i guess it was ok.
