That is the beauty of these games. You take something you can not do and turn it into something you can do. When I first started playing IIDX I thought I would never pass V (and that song still gives me way too much trouble), but I have nearly AAed it now (http://vjarmy.com/iidx/viewsong.php?songid=61&mode=7&highlight=DIP!). I am hardly a top player (as you all know).

You just have to keep chopping wood. Maybe it is just me, being either extremely dedicated or masochistic. Probably both.

Yea, Dipstick's right. You just gotta keep playing. I thought at one point I'd never pass V L7, then I thought I'd never pass a 7*, then I gave up in frustration trying to AAA 5.1.1., but in the end, you'll get it ^.^ Of course, I suck, but that's a story for [a] day.

Accomplishment of the night: Passed Murmur Twins [A] (http://www.rit.edu/~smt8716/iidx/murmur_twins_A.png). Now it is on to Spica [A]!... yeah right.

Also ran into this oddity: I managed to break my combo without missing a note (http://www.rit.edu/~smt8716/iidx/spooky_WTF.png). Both those poors were mashed, look how little the graph drops when they come up. Two mashed poors, yes I am a note short of a full combo. I started a thread (http://www.bemanistyle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6803) on bemanistyle.com (http://www.bemanistyle.com) to see if anyone has any insight into this.

Maybe I can offer some insight?
You got a 708 combo, the max combo is 709, you hit 708 notes and got 2 poors. Therefore you were probably just missed the first note or the last note, and that other mashed poor was in the middle, accounting for that dips. So who knows, thats my guess anyways, since I wasn't there to see it.

Passed Sombody Like You 7 key the other day, makes me feel all warm inside. Though, is there any technique to do those drum rolls in Risilm? I can hit it like 2 out of 5 times and its annoying when i cant pass it. Also the ending of Wow Wow 70's is annoying, ascending scale while playing other crap. Any tips for those?

Practice.

On Rislim... it's helpful when you use two hands for each set of rolls. I noticed you try to take on the first set or so with only one hand, but it's too fast for you. Of course, you could always try what Jugg and I do for Virtual Mind [7]/[A]... just treat it as a double jackhammer. ^.^ SMASHSMASHSMASH
